I went to Furniture Plus on March 1, to look at some furniture with my wifeEverything seemed good, salesman was helpful, we put down a deposit and AGREED on a delivery date of MARCH THIRD 2016(or that same Thursday)Thursday comes, we have a window of 11am to 4pm for deliveryMy wife calls and asks if we can get a call before they deliver, salesman tells her they may or may notWe wait until about 3:45pm to call and ask if delivery will be here soon, as my son needs picked upSame salesman tells us that we aren't getting furniture until the next day(Friday) as he went back and looked in the books and it was scheduled for FridayI'm a little upset because we planned for Thursday as my son has appointments Friday, and I won't be availableI call and ask about getting my money back as we have not taken delivery, and my wife is getting jerked aroundI was informed that since I have no job, that I should be available to be there for the delivery no matter whatI said I could not, and am getting pretty heated at this point as I am informed again that somebody without a job has "the five minutes to accept a delivery." My son has half a heart(he has hypoplastic right heart syndrome), is g-tube fed, and someone is required to be available at all times for his needs unless I want to be charged with child neglect and abuseI really did not care for that fact that since "I have no job, I have the time" to be there for Furniture PlusThis is insulting to anyone regardless of why they do not have a jobI also loved how the salesman would "have everyone break their backs to accommodate you" so that I could have my furniture delivered as promisedWas I heated, yes I wasI did not call the salesperson any names, and after his lovely comments, I told him I did not want the furnitureI was told I had no choiceHe informed me that "hundreds of people have tried" to get refunds but don'tI would not recommend this place for the way I was addressed

Promised delivery "within" 3 weeks, after 4 weeks still no arrival of paid for product.I ordered a couch from this company 4 weeks ago. I paid the full amount of the couch I ordered up front. When purchased, I was promised no more than 3 weeks and I would be delivered my couch. After several methods of contact to figure out when it is going to be delivered, the salesman[redacted], started making excuses about snow and ice in the city it was originally coming from which he claimed was somewhere in Mississippi. After [redacted] whether or not there was even ice within the time frame we ordered it, there wasn't. After speaking to another salesman from the same company he proceeded to tell me that our salesman most likely said that because he forgot to place our order. Then, I decided to go in store to discuss the issue with the manager and he got on the phone and said the couch should be on the way within the week. A week later I called to find out the status, the salesman[redacted] said that it should be "at there store" by that Friday but no guarantees, and even if it does I wouldn't be able to get it (this is the end of week 4). So that Friday around 2pm my wife called to find the status and was told that[redacted] was busy. 2 hours later[redacted] called me and said it was in route for delivery about 4 hours away but wouldn't be in by friday. So needless to say after being jerked around, lied to and still having no product after purchase 4 weeks later this company is unreliable and refuses to give a refund to poor service and us still not even having received our couch.Desired SettlementAfter dealing with all the hassle of trying to get our couch within the time frame we were told. Being jerked around by the salesman never knowing where it is in delivery status until the 4th week of waiting we would appreciate a refund. This is the worst service we have ever had. There is a major lack of communication, careless efforts for customer service and just simply unreliable.Business Response The customer purchased the furniture on March 7,2015. We tried multiple times to give the customer a loaner sofa but would not accept one. The furniture was due the week of March 30. We are sorry for the delay it was due to the manufacturor. The furniture was delivered and accepted by the customer in good condition on 04/06/2015.

When bedroom set was delivered they had forgotten a piece and promised to come back to install it. They never returned.When we purchased the bedroom set and it was delivered to our apartment we were told that they would have to come back to replace a piece of the wood that supported the mattress. The delivery men never returned. We called the store on several occasions and were advised that they had to order the piece and that it would be delivered as soon as it came in. This went on for almost two years. We continuously get the run around being told that the piece needs to be ordered or that it will be delivered and they never show up. We have requested to have the bedroom set returned to the store but have been advised that we would still be responsible for paying on it even though they have not made any attempts to repair it. Desired SettlementI would either like the bedroom set returned to the store and taken off of the account or I would like them to replace it. The piece not being replaced over time has caused other support damage that could have been resolved in the first place if they had done as they promised. Business Response We have set up with the customer to repair the bed on 08/28/2015.

Poor quality of furniture , Unprofessionalism within the business as well as not holding up on one year warranty guarantee. To whom it may concern:We purchased these pieces( a couch and loveseat) back in July 2014 and have had nothing but issues with them since. One incident was not even a month of owning them and needing a spring to be replaced as well as a couple of others , no biggie. Out of the almost 11 months of owning them and started a complaint about this I would say back in November 2014 about the noticeable fading and holes in the back of the couch(from the staples) , as well as being able to feel a board in your back when you recline ( not comfortable at all might I add) we've also had to deal with getting cut and scratched from the protruding staples which they had the audacity to tell us to hammer them back. It's ridiculous when your three year old warns people there's "spikes" before they sit in either couch. I refuse to be stuck with such "quality" especially given the cost of these I could have gotten something in much better quality and appreciation for my business by going to [redacted] and it actually going to a business towards a good cause versus a business who doesn't stand behind on their word. I am beyond livid as I have never missed a payment and I have done business here before and the sectional I bought 5 years ago looks in better condition then the one I have now which looks 10 years old and hideous, this couch has only been used possibly 5 months out of the time we have had it. I was supposed to receive a call back on Friday June 5th pertaining to the issue which a never received not a huge surprise with their "customer service" because the warranty refuses to fix their manufacturing issues. My husband called today Tuesday June 9th and of course nothing was resolved except for someone informing him they could pick up a piece at a time and "repair" it , I'm assuming by sewing the holes and that's not going to cut it, they also added the warranty place doesn't want to fix the issue because it's "expensive" so that means we're stuck with POOR QUALITY furniture for a HIGH COST? Not going to work for us , I am sick of calling constantly and having to deal with this months after months with absolutely no help , and dealing with horrible customer service, something needs to be done in a professionally and timely manner otherwise other action will have to be taken due to the negligence of this occurring issue.Desired SettlementI would prefer the couch and loveseat to either be picked up and replaced with actual QUAILTY pieces due to how much these cost or for these or to be picked up and completely refunded honestly that would be best so we won't have to deal with this issue again.Business Response We are picking up the sofa & Loveseat and repairing it for the customer. Consumer Response Over 4 months ago our love seat was picked up and hasn't even been fixed leaving us with only a couch in a home which needed to be fixed as well. I have called multiple times with no answers as we have been paying monthly on this furniture with no outcome this whole time. We have had no where or room for our family or guests to comfortably sit as we had to use the floor and add the fact that now in just a week we will be giving birth so we had to go purchase furniture so we could have somewhere to sit comfortably as the couch we were left with kills your back because you can literally feel boards from the couch into your back. At this point I am beyond unsatisfied and furious as we have been nothing but patient this whole time. We would now like the couch to be picked up and returned to the makers as well as a full refund given the circumstances as well as having issues with both pieces of furniture for over a year now. Furniture Plus gave me the wrong bridge without my knowledge and placed screws in it to deceive me. Screws placed holes in woodI purchased an entertainment center from furniture plus approximately May 2013. I paid approximately $1200. I made payments of 85 dollars and paid it off early in February. My salesman was [redacted] It was delivered with the wrong bridge. A new was supposedly ordered. It arrive approximately a 6 weeks later. Upon moving out due to military orders I discovered that it was still the wrong bridge and screws had been drilled in it to hold it in place. The system was not designed to have screws. It also does not operate in the way it was designed to because of this. The system cost about $1200 dollars and the were only willing to give me $125 to repair it. Transportation to repair shop and repairs outside that cost falls on me.If I had not moved, I would have not known. I tried to work with the manager, [redacted] but he said he's done all he can. The delivery guys placed the screws in without my knowledge. Upon inspection of the system, furniture plus repair guy told me that it should not have been but together as it was. He admitted it was wrong. I was denied a refund and got only $125 to repair on my on. The bridge is still to short. I did not receive what I paid for. The manager kept trying to convince me to keep reusing the screws when I move around.Desired SettlementI would like a refund minus the $125 dollars giving to me or the correct bridge sent to me.Business Response The entertainment center was delivered to customer. The delivery driver used wood screws instead of wooden pegs to secure the bridge. The manufacturer will not replace the product due the length of time. We refunded the customer 125.00 for labor to have the holes filled in.Consumer Response Screws were placed in as a patch without my knowledge. The length of time comes from not know what this company's driver had done. I have a video from the Furniture Plus repairman saying that the way ot was attached was wrong. Furthermore the bridge is the wrong size. I fill as if the company has failed to deliver the product I paid for and used deception to hide they didnt honor what I had paid for. I paid in full. Their profit has been made yet I'm stuck with something I was tricked into believing it was what I ordered. This is sad cominf from a company that receives alot of its business from service members and they take advantage of them and dont even have the integrity to admitt fault. Very dissapointmented in their responses.

Did not show up for service calls for furniture under warranty - additional cabinet purchased that is not level that I had to put cardboard underI have a couch and loveseat I purchased from them that the couch possibly a spring broke and it sunk in and the loveseat has pulled apart. Before this happened I had purchased two shelves from them that was supposed to be delivered w/in 2-3 wks and it was over 2 mos. When they delivered the shelves (in which one was not level and I have to put cardboard under) they looked at the couch when they delivered the shelves & said they couldn't fix it and would have somebody else come out. At that point I wasn't able to see the cabinet was not level until I started to use it and noticed the door was not even. Two scheduled appts were made for the couch and no show on both appts in which I was going to address the shelf and loveseat. Very dissatisfied with the warranty and with the quality of the furniture for the price paid.Desired SettlementI would like to exchange for something similar to my couch and loveseat as they both broke within 6 mos of purchase and a replacement shelf or a full refund for all three.Business Response We contacted the customer 03/10/2015 and picked up part of the loveseat. The padding was flat and bottom board was broken. The piece was repaired on 03/13/2015. We have contacted the customer several times to return piece. We waiting for her return call so we can resolve this issue.

Never received our furniture that we paid for. We ordered two bookshelves on July 21st, 2015. We were told by our salesperson, [redacted], that it would take two weeks to come in. We called after two weeks and [redacted] told us it would be ANOTHER two weeks. My husband went to the store on August 22nd, 2015 and [redacted] didn't even look at our order and said it would be ANOTHER 2 weeks. My husband left the store upset. I called and asked to speak to a manager and was put on hold for 10 minutes. The cashier picked up and told me that my card would be refunded. I called back asking to speak to the manager to verify and tell him how displeased we were. He told me there would be no refund and that it was a misunderstanding. He then told me that he was working on it and I would definitely receive a phone call the following Monday, August 24th, 2015. Well, it is now the night of the 25th, and I have not received any phone call or my furniture. We just want our money back at this point. Desired SettlementWe just want our money back. We tried and tried to get our book shelves and this business keeps telling us, another 2 weeks, or just doesn't return my call like promised. I waited to file a complaint and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Business Response On 08/22/2015 the store owner spoke with customer. The customer was advised furniture to arrive 08/28/2015 no later than 08/31/2015. The customer seemed ok with delivery status.
