called him several times to ask him to repaint my table and chairs. He gets very defensive and insulting to me. I do not believe I will be able to get him to honor his promise to repaint my table and chairs correctly. I want to do what ever I can to make other potential customers aware of this bad business.

Review: I paid John, the owner of the Furniture Shop $800.00 to paint and distress a dinning room table and six chairs. When he brought the set back to me, I saw problems with the quality of the painting and the distressing was not done correctly at all. I told him that I was unhappy with the work at that time. He assured me he would take care of it after the holidays, so in good faith I paid him. Within a few days the paint starts to chip and peel off. I called John to tell him of the problem.

He was very defensive and after quite an argument agrees to only repaint over the peeling and chipping paint. He kept me waiting two months and in that time more paint peels off. I then asked John if he would just remove the paint. I no longer had faith in his skills and wanted to take my table and chairs to another business. He refused to remove the paint. I felt that painting over the peeling paint would only result in a bigger mess. He has been very unprofessional to deal with and will not refund any of my money.Desired Settlement: I would like all of my money back, but I would be satisfied with half $400.
