Ms. [redacted]'s bedroom furniture was backordered from Ashley Furniture, the manufacturer. It came in on May 27th and delivered to Ms. [redacted] on May 28th. The manager has been out on medical leave for several weeks. There have been temporary employees filling in and unfortunately misinformed customers on...

several details. They are no longer working with us and we are extremely sorry for any issues that was caused.

Thank you.

The only reason a new couch is one its way is because I personally dealt with [redacted] over the phone and told them I was taking them to court. Had I not taken this into my own hands I doubt furniture solutions would have resolved the issue. It took them six months and nothing. However, it took me just one hour after a phone call to [redacted] HQ to get the couch shipped later that week.
Regards,

Review: My significant other and I purchased a bedroom suit and mattress for our daughter on 2/16/14. I paid the full amount for the purchase-$1220.03. We were told we would receive our bedroom suit and mattress in 3-7 weeks. We were hesitate that it would take this long but we went with anyhow, big mistake! After the seven week mark WE had to contact the store to see the status of our furniture, each week we would be told we have an Ashley furniture truck coming in next week. After week after week of being told straight out lies my significant other went to the store on 4/25/14 to see the status, a sales associate went in the back and said your furniture is here, we will deliver it 4/28/14. Sunday comes and we still havent received a call, so I HAD TO CONTACT THEM about when they would be delivering the furniture, and we were told sorry but we are moving to a different locations and wont be able to deliver till Wednesday 4/30/14. This wasnt true because we come to find out after countless times calling the store that our furniture isnt in the store its still on a truck somewhere!!! I asked to speak to manager and was told she wasnt at the store and was to call me the following day (4/28/14). And of course she didnt. A manager was to call today (4/29/14), never received a phone call. I have to contact the store everyday instead of them contacting me and its just to hear another lie!!! They offered us a floor model, because we got rid of our daughters old bed and dresser on Sunday because we were told we have her furniture Monday! The sales associate will not give us a number to contact the manager or owner. I want ALL MY money back but the sales associate cannot do it without a manger, which is never around!!Desired Settlement: I want my $1220.03 back immediately.

Review: We ordered a chair from this store on November 23, 2014. At that time they told us it would be appropriately 3-7 weeks for us to receive our chair. We paid off our account in full on January 25, 2015 with them saying that it should only be another week or so for it to come but with the holidays things got behind. We were annoyed but tried to give the benefit of the doubt. We were out of town last weekend (what would have been 14 weeks after placing our order) when they called to say they had our chair and would deliver it that day. We told them we were out of town but would be back the following weekend to accept our delivery. When we returned to town the business is "closed for relocation" with no indication where they are going and no answer at their number. One would think that if a company had prior knowledge of a supposed location change they would have said as much when on the phone with us or during one of the many times we stopped in store to check the status of our order. I can't help feeling like they have closed shop and taken our money.Desired Settlement: We want our chair. We spent a lot of money and have waited far longer than anyone should ever expect to. It is unrealistic for me to think they would give us any of our money back for all the trouble but some sort of discount would be nice. More than anything though I just want the product promised to us when we ordered it.

Review: I ordered a sofa and loveseat in December. The sofa was delivered after 3-4 weeks in January, but as of mid-March we are still waiting for the loveseat. The store has not been open, and has not been responsive to phone calls or other attempts to contact them.Desired Settlement: I would like the loveseat to be delivered, with a discount on the amount I have already paid because of the inconvenience of waiting 6-8 additional weeks. The lack of communication and disregard for customers who have already paid for merchandise is inexcusable.

Review: My order was placed 2/23/2013. The expected delivery date was 3-6 weeks which would have been by April 6 at the latest. As of 5/14 my order still has not arrived and I am told by their staff, they have no way of telling where it is at or when it will arrive. Telephone calls to their office are not returned. When I suggested the order be cancelled I was told I will only receive a store credit. What good is a store credit if your order is never delivered?Desired Settlement: I simply want what I paid for and I would like it discounted the amount I still owe ($300.00).If I don't receive what I paid for shortly, I want a full refund (823.57) not a store credit. Frankly, I will never buy anything there again.

Dear [redacted]:

Thank you for notifying us that you have received the letter from [redacted] Read. The goods that she ordered o 2/23/13 were backordered from the manufacturer. On May 24, 2013, [redacted] was refunded the full amount.

The order arrived on May 28, 2013.

Review: Ordered a bunk bed set on 9-7-14 with an understanding of approx. 3 weeks delivery. the 3 weeks delivery is written on the invoice. The bunk set was paid for using Visa card. Once the 3 weeks past, they were called each week wanting to know where the bunk bed set was. Each phone call, a different excuse was given. The truck broke down; they had to wait for the truck to be full; truck now full, but they don't know at what point on the route that they are for a delivery date.Asked for refund, wouldn't do. Buck bed will be delivered. Not satisfactoryDesired Settlement: Want full refund and additional credit for inconvenience and needing to go to different store to purchase a different bunk set.

Review: I ordered a dresser with mirror from Furniture Solutions on February 21, 2015. They said that it is showing available so should only take a few weeks to get it. I called 2 weeks after just to check the status and got their voicemail, which stated that they were temporarily closed due to relocation, but if you are calling about an existing order to leave your name and number and someone will call back. This was strange considering they just moved to this location a few months ago. A week went by and I did not receive a call back, so I called again and got the same message. On week 3 I was searching the Internet and saw a [redacted] review that was written on March 17, 2015. The review stated they went into the store and all the employees were in the back and informed them they were moving to [redacted]. Again, it was strange that employees were in the store, but yet they didn't return my phone call after leaving 2 calls. On March 19, 2015 I attempted to call again and this time I got a message that said the number has been temporarily disconnected. So now Furniture Solutions has over $300 of my money and I do not have a product, or a phone number to attempt to contact them. On March 20, 2015 our local newspaper released a story that Furniture Solutions is in "hot water" with the leading company and were forced to close due to being over $20,000 behind on rent. If they are in fact relocating and reopening, something drastic needs to happen to them to improve their customer service.Desired Settlement: I need to be contacted by phone and given an explanation as to either where my furniture is, or informing me they are giving me a full refund.

Review: This store has continually provided us with poor service.Initially there was an issue with them not being able to provide any kind of delivery date. Secondly, when the couch was delivered it was damaged. I was told they would send someone to fix the damage. I had to go into the store three times to eventually get the number of the furniture doctor and schedule the appointment myself. After three month the $2400 couch turned out to be a lemon, with a broken recliner and springs poking out of the bottom. I made a formal complaint in March 2013 and was told that they would arrange for delivery of a new couch. It is September 2014 and I am still waiting for this new couch. They have provided me with incorrect ETA's (it would be here in june, july, august 2014 apparently). The only way I receive any kind of updates is if I go into the store and check myself. Once they have your money they care very little about customer service. By far the worst purchase experience of my life.Desired Settlement: Replacement or full refund.

Review: On June 26, 2013, at the Nittany Mall/State College store, we ordered a sofa bed and paid 1/4 ($250) down. there was some vague reference that it might take 6-8 weeks to get delivered. It is now more than 12 weeks and though we asked there has been no word that the sofa bed has even been ordered or if it has, when it will arrive and be delivered. there has been many inquires about the order on our part, and it has never been mentioned that any store inquires have been made to find out what is happening with our order or to expedite the deliver of the order. we are very perturbed and today, 9- 20-2013, we cancelled the order and asked for our deposit back and we will refuse to except delivery, as of today. We were refused a refund. the sales people at the store told us they could not write checks. they took ours fast enough. the business is sloppy and no one seems to have any idea that customers have some right and deserve some explanation of what's going on with their orders or the store to try to find out about problems. We want our deposit ($250).here is hoping that you can help us, we are on a fixed income and money does not come that easy these days. sincerely, [redacted]Desired Settlement: We want our $250 deposit refund.

Mr. [redacted],

Review: ON 8/16/14, I purchased a bed and mattress. The cost of the bed was $699.99. At the time of purchase I paid in full. I needed the bed within 2 weeks, since they could not get it in time they delivered the floor model, with the promise that they would replace it with a new bed not damaged as the floor model. It has now been more than six months and I have gotten nothing but a voice message thanking me for my patience in January.Desired Settlement: I feel a fair resolution would be 40% of the cost of the bed ($280).

Review: We purchased a sectional from Furniture Solutions (then it was called Nittany Furniture) on June 25, 2012. I contacted them before our warranty expired due to repairs that needed done to the couch. There were small holes in the couch & one of the pillows needed to be replaced. I provided them with pictures of the couch, per their request. They told me that they would contact their company & see when I could take the couch in for repairs. When they called me back, they informed me instead of repairing the couch, they were going to replace the whole couch. It is now 6 months later & we still do not have a replacement couch. My husband & I have called them numerous times & have never received a phone call back from the manager. Nobody would call us back. The only thing that we were told is that we were getting a new couch, just not sure when. That answer is no longer good for us.Desired Settlement: We just want our replacement couch, as we were promised.

Review: We purchased a piece of furniture from Furniture Solutions on November 30, 2015 with delivery expected in 4 to 7 weeks. As of March 1st the furniture had not been delivered and we now find that the store appears to be relocating and receive no return calls from the messages left.Desired Settlement: We desire a full refund of the purchase price, delivery fee and tax.

Review: We ordered some furniture on February 5, 2015, and were promised delivery in approximately 3-6 weeks. I have followed up with the business to attempt to get status of the delivery, and they do not answer the phone. I have left messages asking for status, and have not received any response from the business. I am concerned that they have my $300.00 deposit and have no intention of delivering the furniture.Desired Settlement: At this point I just want to get my deposit back so I can go elsewhere for the furniture.
