repairing vehicleComplainant stated, "I have no money right now, will bring back when I have money." (Initial inspection: no cost to customer) First Week of February, *** *** mother called and stated the vehicle was behind her house and would not moveShe asked if we could look at it, (Customer Is located across the street from business)I assessed the vehicle and determined that the transmission was bad, vehicle would not move in any gearComplainant's mother asked If I could tow to the shop and give her a price on a transmissionAdvised approximate cost: Used transmission= $+ tax; labor/fluids/extra parts $+ tax Remanufactured transmission= $not including labor or installation The mother stated she would call *** *** and let her know the optionsShe, *** *** mother, called the shop later that day and state* *** *** only had $2000, so they would go with the used transmission*** advised complainant's mother that the transmission could not be ordered until a down payment, cost of transmission, was madeFebruary 5, *** *** prepaid for transmission only; labor and miscellaneous parts due upon completion of job$985.00; Receipt provided to customer, "This was the first time there was direct contact with *** *** regarding her transmissionAll previous discussions were conducted with her motherReceipt clearly states "used transmission", February 17, Job completed, calle* *** *** to pick up vehiclePaid balance, receipt given for transmission jobCustomer took possession of vehicleApproximately the first or second week of March *** *** came back and stated the vehicle would not start all the time and asked me to repair the vehicleShe left the vehicle at the shopUpon inspection, the mechanic observed the lock teeth were worn on the shifter cableIt was not allowing the vehicle to go far enough into park to engage neutral safety switch (causing the intermittent no start issue)We repaired the cable mounting bracket and clip assembly*** *** called back and requested that we replace the water pump (cracked and leaking) previously discussed, in October, before she picked it upCalled customer to pick up vehicle and she stated she had a rental car for another week, so the car remained on my lot for a week*** *** picked up vehicle a week laterThe next day, *** *** called and stated that her sister was driving the vehicle to *** ** via the highway and the front end was "shaking real bad"She asked what it could be, I stated that I didn't know without inspecting the vehicle but said one possibility may be the tires and she may want to get them checkedMarch 15, *** *** brought vehicle back to shopShe stated that she drove to the *** *** and the vehicle was fine, however on the way home it was running so badly she barely made it to my shopCustomer asked if we could check it and left vehicle againThe mechanic checked the vehicle and noted the spark plug wires were severely dry rotted and pieces were missing from wiresAt that time a family member came in to see progress on vehicle and I showed her the bad wiresI advised the vehicle needed a tuand stated it is a Ford Explorer that has not been properly maintainedFamily member said she would take home and have *** *** get in touch with me regarding vehicle*** *** entered my business and immediately began screaming and cursing at meSome of her complaints: "You are a fking crook", "You ripped me off on the transmission", 'The transmission was never replaced, I took it to another garage and they checked the VIN number and they said It was my old transmission", "I didn't know it was a used transmission, I wanted a remanufactured transmission", these are just some of the statements she made that day along with a series of obscenitiesI was never able to respond because she just kept yelling and cursing, Finally, I stated she would have to leave (I asked several times throughout her tirade), there were customers in the lobby and it was apparent that I would not be able to discuss the matter civillyShe then chose to spit across the lobby (other customers were present) and finally left, although still cursingWe notified the police immediatelyThe officers spoke to *** *** and then with *** *** ***, wife of ownerThe officer told *** *** that *** *** stated she was going to hang signs that the business ripped her off and was going to sueHe also stated that he advise* *** *** that she was not allowed to disrupt the business*** *** then hung two sheets from her porch (across the street from business), stating that my business ripped her offShe left the sheets up for three days, moving them from her porch to her mother's porch, two doors downMarch 16, *** *** yelled at my customers as they pulled into the lot and walked into the business, This began at 8:am and I called the police againThe officer stated to me that he advised her that she could not yell across the road at customers and disturb the peace it was harassment, The complainant also posted a video on the Fuscardo Automotive Facebook page stating I ripped her off showing her signs and my businessStatement of Owner: Because of financial issues, *** *** always requested the minimum work to be completedI have followed all guidelines and completed all work honestly and as inexpensively as possibleI tried to help her as much as I couldHowever, her vehicle is a Ford Explorer that is not only old but poorly maintainedIn conclusion, there will be no refunds and I will no longer do any work to her vehicleI do not want her on my property for any reasonAlthough I worked with her throughout the months, she chose to enter my property and disrupt my business In front of customers, disparaging me in the processFuscardo Automotive is accredited by the Revdex.com, and has an ** rating on *** ***My reputation is very important and I work hard to meet the needs of my customers*** *** defamed, not only my business, but also my name by hanging the signs and creating the video, where my current and future customers could easily see, Note: The owner of the business is Keith Fuscardo, not *** *** **as Discussed cost of repairing vehicle. Complainant stated, "I have no money right now, will bring back when I have money." (Initial inspection: no cost to customer) First Week of February, 2016 [redacted] mother called and stated the vehicle was behind her house and would not move. She asked if we could look at it, (Customer Is located across the street from business). I assessed the vehicle and determined that the transmission was bad, vehicle would not move in any gear. Advised approximate cost: Used transmission= $930 + tax; labor/fluids/extra parts $680 + tax Remanufactured transmission= $1800 not including labor or installation The mother stated she would call [redacted] and let her know the options. She, [redacted] mother, called the shop later that day and state[redacted] only had $2000, so they would go with the used transmission. [redacted] advised complainant's mother that the transmission could not be ordered until a down payment, cost of transmission, was made. February 5, 2016 [redacted] prepaid for transmission only; labor and miscellaneous parts due upon completion of job. $985.00; Receipt provided to customer, "This was the first time there was direct contact with [redacted] regarding her transmission.
