[redacted] acknowledged our shop rates for diagnosis of $110 per hour and he approved the service. We have performed the service as was necessary, which we have replaced the distributor,...

and during the service our technician noticed the timing belt to be cracked and the customer approved the service as well. Please be advised our shop policy states that we warranty our services for 36 months or 36,000 miles for parts and labor. On 6/25/2015 we provided a refund of $88 to cover the distributor replacement and we also provided a new distributor as the customer requested. A week later the mother came to us asking for a bigger refund. Again our policy states we guarantee our Parts and labor, no additional cost to the customer.

As stated I [redacted] did approve the work to be done but from the beginning I was quoted the incorrect rate in the first place. I was quoted $360 and then all of a sudden once the work was in progress the rate suddenly changed to $495. This is not the point, if they would have fixed the distributor correctly in the first place the technician would have never had to go as far as to even check the timing belt. I understand everything is under warranty but why would I want to go back to the same place that has already messed up my car and broke more things then what it had to go in for? Also if you were a true car company like others I have called, the policy states that if YOUR diagnostic was incorrect and did NOT fix the problem there would have been a refund to keep the customer happy and coming back. The technician did not go back and double check his work, they state that they would not give me my car if it was not working or was broken but they obviously did because I brought my car to another shop and they fixed the exact same part (distributor) and the car started right up and has been working ever since.
