Fusion Property Management and Real Estate Reviews (%countItem)

this HOA completely ignores it's obligations to their communities! I have been dealing with this HOA and Tonya M for 2 years. they manage the property at Coronado Village. I have complained about the broken fence, the trash all over, the landscaping that is never done correctly, the abandoned vehicles, the parking, and the snow removal! The only thing she will say is that they are working on it. Working on what? They have done nothing to keep the complex up. the bushes are overrun by weeds, the goat heads are out of control, there is very little grass anymore due to the failure to fix the irrigation system for 2 years. there are vehicles parked in assigned spaces that do not belong to those tenants. when you call to ask for the vehicle to be towed, Tonya M says, and I quote, "every time we put a notice on the vehicles they move them" end quote. I have date stamped pictures showing that the vehicles have not been moved in over a month. In there contract it states that they will remove abandoned, un-licensed, broken down, and unregistered vehicles. This is just one of the epic failures I deal with on a daily basis. I have to look at trash that is left on tenants door steps, and I'm not just talking a trash bag, I'm talking boxes and boxes of trash. I have complained about the drug deals and drug use that is going on in the building next to me and Tonya M says it's the owners issue. Well Tonya M isn't it the HOA's responsibility to force the owners to take care of these issues? I have looked at graffiti on the fences as well as huge sections of the fence missing now for 2 years. When I complain Tonya M's answer is that it's not in the budget. I would never recommend renting a unit that is managed by Fusion Property Management!

HOA communities are operated within a budget. This HOA has 10+ years of deferred maintenance, with 80 units and 40 of them having upstairs wood decks that were rotting to the point they were unusable. The Boards and the management companies’ priority was to begin addressing safety issues first. The fences, while it looks bad, were of low priority and the HOA simply did not have the budget to address the problem in 2019. Regarding the landscaping, as we have spent many times explaining this to this person specifically, at the annual meeting, and in newsletters - there was a major problem with the irrigation system that had to be found and corrected, again this process was under budget constraints and until the irrigation issue could be repaired, the grass could not be reseeded until the irrigation system was functioning. The irrigation problems have been repaired and you will be pleased to know that as soon as the budget is approved by owners from the mail-out ballot we can begin many of these projects.
Regarding the dumpster area and people’s front and back porches, we do not manage individual units we help manage the day-to-day operations of the HOA so getting people to correct is a process and it starts with contacting the owners which we do and allowing them the opportunity to correct. Therefore, our correction process is much different than a rental and is a legal process that if we do not follow could create additional legal problems for the HOA. Action has been taken against many of the people you are complaining about.
Anytime you suspect illegal activity it is your responsibility to report it to the authorities, again we have no jurisdiction over what goes on within the unit themselves nor to police or enforce rules against such activities. The most we can do is inform the owners when such problems are occurring with their units which is being done.
Since you are an owner with a unit in Coronado Villas you need to understand that you do not rent from Fusion Property Management. Also, Fusion does not decide how your budget operates; a budget is presented by the Board of Directors to the owners for approval. As you know because you attended the annual meeting there was not a quorum therefore the budget was not approved. Due to COVID we could not hold a second meeting and since have chosen the mail-in ballot. The approval of this budget is what will allow the fences to be fixed and the landscaping to be corrected.
As you experienced, I personally reached out to owners to ensure they had received the budget so we can begin taking care of many of the maintenance issues you are complaining about. The Board of Directors and Fusion can only do so much without participation from the owners we are trying to assist.

+1

I closed on my house recently and the HOA dues were to be transferred over. I called them to confirm and they confirmed that it would. Then, I was charged dues for a month I did not even own the house. I tried contacting them numerous times and no one is responding or picking up the phone.

Hello,

This account has been corrected and a reimbursement check issued. We did not receive the check from the Title Company with enough time to complete the Homeowner Change process before this months Dues were charged. In addition, the homeowner did not turn of the auto pay feature in his account. All corrections have been made, reimbursing the owner for the overpayment in March and the additional automatic payment made in April.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: The payment has not been returned to my checking account (account with which the funds originated from), nor has a pending deposit for the funds been initiated.

The system is not set up to credit funds directly into an owners account. Therefore a check has been issued and placed in the mail on Monday, April 8th.
