Review: Purchased mattress on 9/16/14 .... Mattress now has a rip because of inferior manufacturing .. Business another mattress out of box and was willing to give it to me for an exchange. However, I live in staten island ny and I could not carry the mattress back and forth. Indicated to business that they should re-deliver mattress to my house but they refused because there is normally a 85.00 fee. When I purchased the mattress I had paid 85.00 for the fee.Desired Settlement: Like to have new mattress delivered to my home in staten island ny

The manufacturing warranty for the mattress Mr. [redacted] bought from our store on 9/16/2014 is no longer covered with warranty. Warranty only covers 3 months manufacturing. The mattress that he bought is not defective and in new, perfect condition when he received it, otherwise we could have replaced it when he bought it if there was a problem. He contacted us regarding the hole on the mattress 3/27/2015 which is 5 months after the original purchase. Unfortunately, it's no longer covered with the 3 months manufacturing warranty but Futon World is willing to give him a new mattress out of goodwill and good faith. All he has to do is bring the mattress to the store and we can give him a new one even if its no longer covered with the warranty. According to him, he can't carry the mattress of his own so we gave him a quote of $85.00 for our delivery drivers to pick-up the mattress. We have to hire 2 delivery drivers to do the work for him and we are also doing him a favor to replace the mattress. We normally charge customers $85.00 to Staten Island to deliver futon or mattresses. He came to back to the store on 4/1/2015 agreed to our policy and paid $85.00 to have his mattress picked-up and for us to give him a new mattress which is scheduled on 4/8/2015.

Review: I bought a futon cover on 5/28/2014 the sales [redacted] said I could return or exhannge up to 7 days if I didnt like it. I returned to the store Monday 6/2/2014 the same sales [redacted] refused to return my money or exhange the product saying it was used only because it had 2 literly 2 cat hairs on the cover. He said the cover was used and it would have to be thrown out. The cover was never ever used. I did try it on the mattress and I didnt like the color I took it off and returned it to the store. With my recepit and the same bag. There was nothing wrong with the cover.

I am responding to a complaint you received from Mr. [redacted] . I was disappointed to see that Mr. [redacted] felt he needed to reach out to you and it is still unclear to me what exactly he wants. He tried to return a cover that seemed used according to my salesmen. I do trust in their judgment. We have been in business for 1'7 years and have had few problems or complaints over that time. We are in the business of making customers happy not upset. In the ease of Mr. [redacted] he reached out to Futon World by posting negative comments on our Face Book Page. At that time I responded by asking him to reach me personally so I may resolve his issue but he has not been in touch with me. I have also tried to reach him by phone but have gotten no response. happy to help Mr. [redacted] I just do not know what it is he is looking for. Even your letter lists a dispute amount of 0. Is it just a complaint he is logging or would he still like to return his cover? Since my attempts to contact him have been in vain I do not know what I can do but I will refund his Money if that is what he would like.

Thank you for your time and I apologize that it had to come to this I did try to resolve this with him directly.
