We also checked the air filter and refrigerant pressures on the system. This customer has not had a tuneup on his system since we installed it in 2012.We installed an outdoor temperature sensor when the unit was in warranty for no charge in 2013..We drove to his house, diagnosed his problem, replaced
capacitor, and have to do the return warranty for a total of $178.00.We feel like this is a fair market value. We are willing to give him back $less $for now used capacitor if he would bring it back to us.We can also give him back his old capacitor

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
There are several issues with the business reply:1. They mention they performed warranty work on a faulty outdoor temperature sensor in 2013, but did not charge me for (Not relevant to this issue). The unit was installed in and was still under a parts and labor warranty. This leads me to believe the business normally charges something even when under the parts and labor portion of the warranty, yet they were doing me a favor by not charging me.2. The business notes the technician also checked the air filter and refrigerant pressure, work that was not asked for or approved. This is no different than taking a vehicle to a mechanic for an oil change, and in addition the mechanic services the transmission without being asked yet still bills the customer bills for it.3. Business states: "We drove to his house, diagnosed his problem, replaced capacitor, and have to do the return warranty for a total of $178.00". The bill states specifically "Trip diagnostic $89.00. Warranty $89.00". it is clear by this (and what I was told by the technician), I was charged $for the service call (I have no issue with that) and $to do the warranty. Something I am currently investigating to see if doing paperwork for parts under warranty is industry standard.
Regards,

Regards,
*** ***The system was put in Every year there has been a problemThey have tried to fix it free of charge, however, there is always a problem mid winter and usually takes more than month to repair. It has been acknowledged it is a dud machine but they cannot afford to change the machine. The machine is working now but I don't know for how long and the electricity costsDuke energy congratulated me on reducing my electricity bill to no more than $*** more than other similar electric homes !!! I have Geothermal heating and cooling with propane for hot waterIn months when no heating and cooling are used my bill is approximately $***I worry that in years or so I will be told the machine has used its life so I will have to change everything.I live on Social Security, so although I like the Future Air people, I feel I paid up front for a very expensive service to make running costs cheaper in retirement and have not had the full benefit of it.** ***
