Future Care Consultants Reviews (11)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved Sincerely, [redacted] Future Care responded to my e-mail and has informed me that September payment has been forwarded to the new facility I checked with the new facility and they confirmed that they did receive the funds for last month As far as the other funds from Social Security, the Future care has closed my mother's account with them and have rejected any more payments I also spoke to the Social Security office who informed me that they were aware of the changes made from the one facility to the other and that the old facility should return any funds back to them I think the main problem was the lack of communication between the two facilities and the lack of communication with me If things had been made clear to me along with the funds being handled and mailed in a timely manner this step could have been avoided

My father is currently in a nursing home with their business/financial services provided by Future Care Consultants. My dad entered this NH in the beginning of 2017. During the NH admission process, I had a GUT feeling telling me to NOT use their banking account services. I said to myself "Are you **cking kidding me? Turn over all his money into THEIR account?" Right then and there I decided they can only automatically withdraw his NH payments from HIS account. At the time, it just sounded crazy to me that they want to take total control of this financial situation/his money and I am glad I use my GUT and wisdom to not allow this to happen. But even though I nipped this in the bud at the time, what I am currently going through with them is:
1) One of their consultants has gone into my father’s SS online account and made changes! WITHOUT my consent! SSA has informed me at the time of who went in and made the changes!
2) When my father’s SS amount increased, this same consultant went in and changed the old payment amount to the new amount, so they can receive all of his SS monthly payment. I understand they want the whole amount, but I am the one who is to authorize or consent for them to make this change(this is illegal, no matter what they say, think or have stated in "their contracts"). SMH….
3) My dad received refund money from SSA and they are calling, asking for that, claiming “payment is due” from that refund! Hilarious..
4) The NH administrator recently stated on a legal document that my Dad gets a $50 monthly stipend from the NH. But guess what? Where is it? For 18 months, there hasn't been any proof of checks, deposits, receipts or documents stating that he has been receiving a stipend. Well, all I have to say is that refund they say is a “ payment is due” is my Dad’s stipend, plus additional money they owe him until they can prove otherwise.
Overall, I think Future Care Consultants should not be in business and the NHomes dealing with them should really consider not having them anymore to handle their financial services for patients and hire a more trustworthy and secure company

I hear you. My brother-in-law stupidly signed paperwork for them even though I contacted them and told him I had power of attorney and I was taken care of everything just like we did for my mother-in-law and we paid her bills and kept control of her finances. I went into social security and I changed everything back to his bank and now I just got a notice that his VA check is going to another bank. So I went into a social security account and once again they changed the information which I changed back. Also co-opted his life insurance. Well I've just about given up after my brother-in-law sign that paperwork he basically gave them power of attorney over us and I'm too old to fight this so I've given up and I hope his bills get paid.

Review: This company has repeatedly harassed my mother and me over A DIME! A DIME! A DIME! Yes, that's correct. TEN CENTS. My aunt is a patient at the Staten Island Care Center and this company claims that we do not send them the correct amount of money every month for her pension. New York law allows my aunt to keep $50 from her pension funds. So every month, we get her pension checks, keep $50 and send the rest to Future Care Consultants. They claim we do not send the correct amount. They claim we are shorting them... a DIME! Per their instructions, I have sent them proof of the pension check stubs showing exactly what my aunt receives. (They say their records show it is $XXX.77 when it is really $XXX.67). I have sent that proof at least three times. And yet despite it all being there in black and white, they STILL claim we are shorting them AN EXTRA TEN CENTS. Yes, you are reading that correctly. They DEMAND PAYMENT. In February, a member of their staff called me FIVE TIMES looking for that extra dime. I responded by writing a letter saying that we don't owe them an extra dime and that I had sent sufficient proof to that effect. So on June *, I received a letter telling me that we now owe THIRTY CENTS in back payment. This company is out of its mind. They refuse to accept the fact that they are wrong. That perhaps someone on their end keyed in the wrong amount for my aunt's pension. And they never stop harassing me and my 85 year old mother for that dime. "Where's that dime? You owe us THAT DIME GIVE US THAT DIME SEND US THAT DIME." I mean, seriously. Who is crazy here?Desired Settlement: I want them to stop. I have begged them to stop. I have proved to them that they are wrong by providing copies of the pension check stubs. I have sent all the information they need over and over and over again. They have spent at least $500 in employee time and effort pursuing a DIME.

Not only that, but they fail to even get my mother's name correct, despite my repeated attempts. (Although this shouldn't surprise me in the least). And they fail to understand that the United States has something called TIME ZONES. They have called me as early as 6:30 a.m. How can I get them to stop? If I have to file a lawsuit for harassment, I will.

Review: My father passed away in march due to [redacted]. I keep receiving a bill from this billing service. I advised him I did not have a long relationship with my father an once I said I am not paying this bill [redacted] got verbally abusive and told me I am not doing my father any justice and proceeded to get nasty- he refused to transfer me to anyone higher in position said he runs the office. I find this very abusive when dealing with family members passing away. Not only am I looking into a possible lawsuit against the nursing home I am looking into an attorney in regards to this matter.Desired Settlement: I would like these people to learn how to deal with family members who are stuck in situations and an apology. If none of this is done I will be contacting a lawyer.

[redacted] father, [redacted], was a resident in [redacted], a nursing home in [redacted], NY, that Future Care Consultants is contracted with. [redacted] was in the facility from 3/**/13 - 3/**/13 & covered by [redacted]. As per [redacted] contract with [redacted], he was responsible for a $50 per day co-pay for his 14 day stay totalling $700. [redacted] received payment from [redacted] on 6/**/13. When the payment was received a bill for the $700 co-insurance was mailed to [redacted] daughter, [redacted]. The first bill was ignored so another 1 was sent about a month later. [redacted] called the offices & asked to speak to me. [redacted] expressed her anger with the nursing home & stated she has no intention of paying any bills & after that no other bills were sent from my office. I never said anything nasty or got verbally abusive.

This is a totally unprofessional and disreputable company. It took me 10 months to get a refund for my brother's stay at one of the many nursing homes they service. This involved certified letters, complaints to the regulatory agency, insurance company, many phone calls and emails, and a report to a state newspaper that may do an article exposing my ordeal.

Review: My mother [redacted] was hospitalized late June 2013 to August [redacted] 2013 at [redacted] in [redacted], NJ. During her hospital stay the social worker [redacted] keep trying to get my mother into a nursing home ( [redacted]). [redacted] nursing home is owned by Future Care Consultants. My mother never, not for a minute nor one day went into the above nursing home or any other nursing home. They stole two of my mothers social security checks. July & August checks. My mother nor myself signed any paper works giving them permission to take her checks. My mother was getting her checks via thru her checking account. Future Care Consultants by passed the Social Security system and applied on line saying that my mother requested to have her checks sent to an different account, which was theirs. My mother at the time was on [redacted] and I was her power of attorney, she has since passed away August **,2013.

I went to my local Social Security office in [redacted], NJ, there they informed me that this particular company has been has been fraudulently taking families checks for a long time. Myself and the Social Security Administration has requested my mother checks back several times. The contact person I dealt with at Future Care was [redacted] # ###-###-####. They haven't sent my mothers money back yet.Desired Settlement: future Care Consultants should be held accountable and some way penalizes for fraudulently stealing families Social Security checks. They should not be allowed to apply on line for families social security checks for the 40 plus nursing homes they own. They should be fined.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

When I contacted the social security office the money wasn't returned yet. And this company needs to be penalized some sort of way each time they fraudulently take families money. This is not their first doing this and it won't be the last if they are not punished.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

I see and completely agree with what you have stated here. I can related to this because I am currently going through a similar situation as yours.
