Review: My wife vehicle was involved in a motor vehicle accident. Car was towed to G&E and they started the work. Estimated time frame was 36hrs of work and eat 2-3 weeks to be completed. Kept in contact and was told at the 3 week mark car was done. Day of pick up told there was slight issue and needed to wait the weekend. Weeks went by and kept being told different issues. Stopped one day 2 months later and car was barely fixed. Was told by Owner he would compensate us for the extra time needed for the vehicle. Car was then completed... due to poor workmanship vehicle was brought back 3 times for various issues, body lines not lined up, scrape metal left hanging off vehicle, various paint issues. Car was finally finished 3.5 months later, a total of 4 months. Owner Rich Pi[redacted] advised multiple times would compensate us for extra time. Sent letters asking for payment and was told, " give me a week, let me talk to accountant, its on its way" were various excuses. Now he refuses to accept calls and no response back. If not addressed will seek legal route...Desired Settlement: Would like the agreed upon resolution for him being and "man of his work", "i'm a stand up business owner and care about my customers"... We felt with nothing but empty promises, and disheartening results in an already stressful time. So unhappy with work, traded the car in a week later...

Review: I brought my car in for body work to be completed in the front of my car. My car is 4 months old. I picked up my car on Tuesday 11/26/13. When I picked up my car, it smelled of tobacco smoke and there were cigarette ashes in my car steering wheel. The radio stations were also changed. On Wed, 11/27/13 I called the owner [redacted] to tell him about the complaint and he told me no one drove the car. He did not however deny that anyone did not smoke in the car from his shop. I do not smoke. I cannot stand the smell of smoke and now my car no longer smells new....it smells like smoke. I take excellent care of this car and it is garage kept.Desired Settlement: Since this car is new and went in without the smell of smoke in the interior, I want a replacement car. I brought the car in without smoke smell and still smelled new. /I expect my car back the same way it went in. I paid 592.40 for the body work and now I have to pay to get my car deodorized and not have it smell new like it did before......I want a band new car or I want my money back for the repairs

Review: This is a combination of repair issues and payment issues. We took my son's car to G & E Auto Body for collision work. [redacted] paid for the balance of the collision work and the rental car(up to certain amount of days). The work was only minor(Small dent in the trunk and back up light repair) but it took G & E Auto about a week to repair the car. Each day when I called I was told the car would be ready tomorrow. [redacted] stopped paying for the rental and we were told by [redacted](car rental company) that Rich, the owner of G & E Auto Body, would pay the balance. Rich confirmed that with me as well.

It has been over 1 month and the bill is still unpaid. Each time I speak to Rich he tells me he will pay the [redacted] bill tomorrow. [redacted] has called Rich numerous times as well.

Is there any way that you can help me out?

I believe the balance of the rental car is $158.Desired Settlement: I want Rich to pay the Enterprise bill as he promised to do.

Response:

The bill has been paid by the insurance company so there is no need for this case any longer. I called my insurance agent and found out that the insurance company will pay for up to 30 days. Rich at G & E was supposed to file an extension with them and he never did. My agent was able to file for the extension. I called [redacted] and they confirmed the bill was paid by my insurance company.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
