Review: [redacted] met with [redacted] and [redacted] and signed a contract to complete an addition on [redacted]'s home. A verbal agreement of two months compeltion time was offered by [redacted] and accepted by [redacted], at which time [redacted] wrote a check for the first payment of the agreed terms that was accepted by [redacted]. The date of the contract was February 3rd 2013. The project has not been completed. [redacted] has made multiple attempts to contact [redacted] and his [redacted] and discuss the details of the completion of the project. There has been no follow up appointments or attempts to satisfy the terms of the contract by [redacted] or [redacted]. After multiple attempts to have [redacted] send a crew to at least close in the addition to stop a bird and rodant infestation that was producing a safety, health and fire hazard all work has come to a stop and the room is still not enclosed. All payments have been made and signed for by [redacted] except for the final payment that was due on completion.Desired Settlement: The job is virtually paid for and [redacted] just wants the job completed.

Project: [redacted] Residence

Dear [redacted],

I received your letter dated February 3, 2014. We attempted to make contact via text on 12/26/13 and a voice mail message was left via telephone on 2/3/14. The work was ceased on your project due to a discrepancy in the work. Extra work was performed on your project due to a change in the scope of work. The project was changed from a work space to a living space. The overhead door was then changed to be double doors. This had to be re-framed. You were also requesting a “cut out” for air conditioning. This was not quoted in the attached proposal. If you prefer, we can offer you a proposal for this work.

[redacted], (your son) stated that he did not want us to continue with the [redacted] plank that was on site as it was in the weather. This [redacted] product was chosen for the quality of withstanding even sever weather conditions. This product was purchased for this project. It was not conducive to discard as recommended by [redacted] and purchase anew. At this time, [redacted] requested a deposit for the extra work for the A/C “cut out”. [redacted] stated that he was not to pay for any extras. He stated that I, [redacted], told his mother, you, [redacted], that any extras would be at no cost. [redacted] stated that he was not happy with that response and that we should do any/all extra work at no charge. We halted the project. We attempted to send a crew over to complete the items listed in the attached contract and [redacted] was upset and complained that he wasn’t satisfied. We did not hear from him again until we got the Revdex.com Report.

Again, we are more than willing to complete the scope of work in the contract as follows:

Fill gaps in the exterior soffit.

Install insulation.

Install drywall.

Tape and float drywall.

Interior painting.

Setting vanity, toilet and shower.

Cut off valves for vanity and toilet.

Run hot water from heater to new bathroom area.

Finish drains as needed (includes parts)

This work can commence and proceed as early as 2/18/14. Please call my office with your choice of dates so that we can finalize your appointment on the schedule. Immediately upon completion, we will need a check in the final amount of $4,226.00.

We are open to discuss any additional work outside of the original scope of work that you would like done to this project upon completion of the work in the original contract.
