Review: I contracted the service of this company to replace all the windows in my house (total of 11 windows). They came in to sell a product that it would lower the energy cost. I few days after the installation of the last window (Three lite slider) I noticed that some of the windows weren't working properly and I called one of the owners of the company. He refused to come out and check the windows because he stated that the windows were installed correctly. I had to call him again, and he sent someone else (he said it was the warranty person). When this person came in ([redacted]) he explained what it was wrong with the installation of the two- three lite windows and that the company will have to come back and re-do some of the work to make it right. All the locks on the windows are off set and because of that the windows don't close as they should. In regards to one of the double hung in the kitchen, he said that he will try to fix it by replacing the button part because he saw that it was defective. He also said that he will contact [redacted] or [redacted] ( G & H Siding and Windows) to let them know his findings. After a few days I got in touch with G & H Siding to find out when they were planning to come back and do the repairs that [redacted] (warranty person) said that it would have to be done and [redacted] responded that he didn't know what I was talking about because from his understanding his work here was done. I called [redacted] again and he said that he would send his "repairs" guy to replace the defective part of the kitchen window and one of the glasses of the Family room window (Three lite slider). The repair person ([redacted]) came in with two parts, put them in and left. The two big window are still not operating properly (installation problem), the kitchen window is still not opening properly, and all the window around the house are not sealing as they are suppose to seal because the locks are not reaching properly.Desired Settlement: I would like that G & H Siding and Windows LLC and the "warranty person" [redacted] come out and check what part of the repair belongs to who and begin to repair and/or replace the windows. If they can't or don't want to come and finish the job right, I would like a refund to pay a contractor to perform the repairs.

The fallowing is a response letter to address claims made by [redacted] and [redacted], claim # [redacted]

On 7/24 we Installed the windows for the [redacted]'s. During the install, there were no complaints, or no

issues brought up by either Mr. ar Mrs. [redacted], and payment was made in full upon completion.

Roughly a week after the Install had been completed; Mrs. [redacted] called and wanted to order another

window. During this conversation, she praised both the quality of the craftsmanship, and the product.

The week of 8/26, we returned to install the remaining window on contract, and Mrs. [redacted] again paid

her remaining balance, no issues were brought up.

The week of 9/2, Mrs. [redacted] called complaining about the operation of some of the windows, and asked

a representative of G&H windows to return to service. Within 48 hours, I returned to the [redacted]

residence, and enhanced the locks, keepers, and any other problem that I was able to address.

Upon leaving the [redacted]'s, I told them that I would have the manufacturer, Aside dddress any remaining

punch list Items, and inspect the quality of the windows.

On 9/5, [redacted], the ISS Manager at Aside was able to meet with the [redacted]'s at 6:00 am before he went to

work. [redacted] stated that there were some minor enhancement touch points that could be done,. but that

there was nothing wrong with the Install, or for that matter, the windows as a whole.

On 9/30, [redacted], the service tech at Aiside, met With the [redacted]'s to address punch I:st of items that had

been set up by [redacted]. During this service meeting, Mrs. [redacted] became very agitated, rude, and

borderline threatening with [redacted]. At that point, [redacted] told both the [redacted]'s that h~ would not work under

these conditions, and reinforced the claim by all parties, that there was nothing wrong with the

windows.

Mrs. [redacted]'s statement that "we refused to come out" is not accurate, as stated above, I was there

within 48 hours of her contact.

Mrs. [redacted]'s claim that the locks on the windows are to "suck" up the sashes is purely speculation. The

lock on a window services one purpose, to lock the sash to the frame, or fixed sa!h. They are there for

protection, and theft deterrent, the weather.strlpping is what gives the window the weather protection.

Mrs. [redacted] continues to state that there is an installation problem, yet there is none. She also continues

to state that [redacted] made this claim, and [redacted] at Alside has been adamant that was not the case, nor is

there anything in writing to back this claim.
