G-Brock's Auto Repair Corp.

I took my car here to have their guys diagnose a problem with it. Took a day, and I picked it up the next morning. The girl at the desk explained that the hoses in the front of the car were brittle and that it was going to be a larger repair. She told me that one of the hoses actually fell off. Thinking nothing of it, I let her show me the estimate for the repair and it was around $885. I thanked her and and picked up my car. A couple days later, I had my dad look at the car for me since we knew what the problems were from the G-Brocks diagnostics and he looked around for the parts it said we needed replaced/fixed on the estimate sheet I was given. He noticed one of the hoses was missing, and told me he knew for a fact that the hose was not gone prior to taking it in. I explained to him that the girl at G-Brocks told me a hose actually fell off, but you'd think they would put it back on, or at least given me the part back, or explain in further detail what they had to do in their line of work, but instead they were going to charge me $79 to have them replace it if I chose to bring the car in for their service. A while later, I drove my car to and from work (about a 10 minute drive,), and heard a large clunk and my muffler almost fell off to find that there was a sleeve missing connecting the two parts, which is potentially all relative to the air problems my car is having. We found it a coincidence that this part came back loose after we had it looked at.We called the manager to find out why the hose was removed, and disposed of when the part was intact and working when it was in our possession. The manager told us that his guys have to do what they need in order to do their job right and that they are not to blame for the part being broken. G-Brocks said they had nothing to do with the sleeve being loose, which we can accept, however the broken hose we cannot.
