We researched our choice before selecting G&D Construction for our granite upgrade. They came to our home and explained the process. One if our biggest concerns was the wall in our existing construction was bowed and wavy. They guaranteed their work would accommodate the imperfections of the current wall. We selected our granite slab and they came out and measured for the install, about two weeks later their craftsmen installed it. Their care and precision were astonishing. The granite looks marvelous. The seams are nearly invisible and the way they matched the grain of the granite demonstrated great skill. They installed our undermount sink, plumbing, garbage disposal etc. We highly recommend G&D Construction. We will use them again for our bathrooms and tile floors.

Absolutely the most honest and hard working construction workers that I have ever dealt with. I will be using them again in October. They were extremely conscious about our budget, reused items when they could, worked early and until late.

We have used G&D construction twice in the last year. November 2012 they did granite countertops through out our home. We were very pleased, they had also installed granite for several of our neighbors. When we bought another home and wanted granite punters again we again contacted G&D construction and they were hired to do the job. However this time things were unorganized from the start. We purchased our granite from one of their suppliers As Tile and had it delivered to there shop. When the fabrication was to start [redacted] said they did not have our granite in there yard. I had to call As Tile and ask where was our granite delivered, they said to G&D construction I even verified the address and date of delivery. It was all good. Called back to [redacted] and he [redacted] again they did not know where it was, later that day called and said they found it in there yard. Then I got a call maybe next day because [redacted] was questioning one of there measurements. While on the phone with him I went into bathroom and got the measurement at that time. When they showed up to install they had cut that piece to short, and forgot to bring bar top granite. I had trouble with water shut off in kitchen so instead of them going a hour each way to get countertop. from shop I suggested zinc they need to come back any way why not do it all in one trip. The whole job was not of there past device and quality. They miss cut our kitchen sink and won't even admit to it. I finally asked for a settlement instead of trying to get them to redo the granite. The whole is to big for the sink, not smooth and professional job in appearance like the bathroom sinks and all the other jobs I have seen they did including our previous job. He would not even come to our house or look at the other jobs I was using to compare. [redacted] claims I am after money and won't settle with me. There option would be redo the whole job. I will not use G&D construction again and he will not be getting anymore referrals from me or the 5 or 6 neighbors who previously used G&D construction. Also had several issues with bedroom remodel most of which have been resolved. I asked for $500. To look at that job every day in my house. The cost of fabricating and install (including 3 bathroom sinks and 1 kitchen sink was $4200) G&D construction [redacted] said he would pay $250. Did not settle.

Review: Installed travertine tile and grout through out our home. Approx. 1000 sq feet. Some of the tiles are uneven and the grout is mixed wrong, color is not right. Should be a tan and it came out gray.

G & D Construction did come out and buff the sealant to correct a smudge problem. We showed them the tiles at that time that were up and the color of the grout. First they said they would correct it. then changed story and said it was our fault that we stepped on it while it was wet. Untrue. Maybe some one did but it wasn't us.

Now refuses to answer our calls.Desired Settlement: Their responsibility is to come to our home, fix the tiles that are raised, and change the grout.

On May the 8th 2013 we signed a contract with G & D Construction to remodel our bathroom. We had a garden tub and small shower but decided we needed to remove the tub and make the shower stall larger for a wheelchair, with a slight slope for easy entrance to the shower. Not an extreme makeover or difficult however [redacted] (co-owner) decided to remodel it his way and he did just that. He made decisions and changes without consulting us and his only excuse was, "I thought you would like the 8" glass block better than the 6" to let more natural light in." "Well, he said they don't make the 6" anymore"! Not with the window directly behind the mirror where I do my hair/makeup, the glare is too much! The drain in the shower was suppose to be square to go with the square fixtures I picked out but we got the old round one out of our original shower. The wall at the end of the shower which was suppose to be the height at the bottom of the window, ended up full length, higher than the doorway to the closet. The work was done unprofessional, sloppy and we had to have them return several times to make corrections and they continued to make mistakes. The shelf inserts were placed in without measuring and the water flowed to the wall so that had to be redone. All in all this was the worst experience ever and would never recommend this company to my worse enemy. Our bathroom is not what we wanted and after speaking to [redacted]'s father it does not look like it will be corrected. This project took two months to complete and now [redacted] has the bathroom of his dreams I guess because it is not the bathroom we wanted.
