I agree with the complaint as stated, but due to health issues I was slow about responding to her request. Since the time of this filing I have made what I consider acceptable repairs. I have also contacted Mrs. [redacted] and advised her of what I have done. I also told her that since she is in Fla....

that when she does come home if she is not pleased with the repairs just to get in touch with me and let me know what she wants and I will try to please her.

Review: I hired Mr. Glenn Harris to make and put awnings on my house. I paid him in full $800.00 for four awnings. These awnings were supposed to be on my house within two weeks. It took him until September to get the awnings up. His excuse was a death in the family. Before long about two or three weeks we noticed that the awnings were tearing on the ends. Now since I was in Florida due to my daughter being sick all I could do was make a quick trip back up there in March. I called Mr. Harris he came out looked at the awnings and told me "well we've had a lot of wind this year", then I proceeded to show Mr. Harris that where each awning had a hole that there was a piece of metal that was just cut off and ragged, he acknowleged that this was so and that he had not covered the end or sanded it off and that the wind was probably sucking the awning into the hole and causing the hole and the fraying. He promised me that he would take them down and make repairs. He came back sometime after that and covered the ragged edeges of the rods with silver tape but did not repair the holes. I went back home in June to check on things and this is where it stands.I feel like Mr Harris should come by take the awnings down and make the necessary repairs in a way that it does not detract from the look of the awnings. I feel he has had ample time to make these repairs. I paid Mr Harris by check on July 31, 2013, He has not done the work in a timely manner or even as he promised. I can only come home on short visits right now, as I have a sick child here in Florida whom I cannot leave for long lenghts of time. I am hoping to get this matter resolved.Desired Settlement: If he can make the repairs to the awning in a satisfactory manner this can be resolved.
