Attached is a copy of the letter that I sent to MrDavid N [redacted] about repairs to the JeepLiberty that he purchased from G & G Auto on February 14, My feelings regarding thesituation have not changed.I do not feel that I can be expected to pay for repairs that first of all, we did not see firsthandneeded to be done, and secondly, that we were not able to perform the repairs ourselves.MrN [redacted] had a list of items that he said his mechanic replaced but our mechanics had noknowledge that these repairs needed to be doneWhen he called our salesman and our servicedepartment, both told him to bring the Jeep in and they would look at itHe never called back.He never brought the Jeep inThen he sends a letter demanding money for repairs that he mayor may not have had done.I do not feel that I am responsible for the repair bills that MrN [redacted] created on his own.If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at ###-###-####.Sincerely,Vice President

have done a thorough investigation internally and responded with several emails to the customer explaining that her assertions are and that her own computer was compromised, not our systems.Response to customer on Feb 17th:Thanks for your patience as we looked in to this for youI'm glad to hear you already had your phone number registered as well. Our tech team was able to complete their security audit and were unable to find any signs of unauthorized access to our systems both internally and externallyThey looked in to the email address that the telemarketers had connected with you and found no record of that email address in any systemThey also looked for any customers who have experienced similar situations and found that this was the only reportBased on their findings it is unlikely that we were the data source for these organizations.I would like to keep a record of this indecent open for the next days just in case any similar issues are reportedIf anything new is learned, I will be sure to reach out to you and let you know.Thank you for reaching out and letting us know so that we could dig in to this for you. -GregThe customer made a completely claim, submitted it to Revdex.com and to usWe took several hours of time and resources ($$$$) to investigate and found that her claims were falseShe continued to harass us, so I personally responded to her with an even more-in-depth explanation.Response to Customer Feb 20thHi XXXXX - I wanted to let you know that this issue got raised to the highest levels over here at our companyWe don't take the accusations lightly and we want to ensure that all customers are safe and secure and that you are taken care ofYour information was not sold by Scrapbook.comI've run the company for years and we've never sold one piece of customer information, everWe've also completed an audit on our end and we could not find any security breaches or data leaks of any kind on our side. I can recall two other times in the last years as Scrapbook.com's president that we were accused of something similarIn one case the user had malware (a virus) running on her machine and some spammers were able to watch her transactions with the virus and were selling her information on the open marketAfter running a few spyware/anti-virus software audits she was able to find the culprit and remove itThis is most likely what has happened in your caseIn the other scenario it ultimately appeared that a spammer had gotten access to her email account and was simply parsing and recording personal data shared in her email (including order confirmations from companies) and selling the dataIt's possible that someone hacked your email account and is getting your personal details from thereIt's also possible that your mother's email account (if she has one) was compromisedThe fact that they are using an email address that we do not have and you never shared with us on any occasion indicates that the leak came from somewhere else as well. I'd encourage you to run an antivirus and antispyware audit on your machine first (one program can expose all of your data), to change the password on your email account and make sure it is unique and not used anywhere else for any other accounts and, if you have a Scrapbook.com user account to change the pw there. We're confident that the leak didn't come from our end, but we will continue to monitorWe've had no other complaints or issues raised from tens of thousands of other customers over the last several years, but we're always vigilant and will continue to monitor and let you know if anything changes on our end.
