[redacted] sold me a used 3 ton A/C unit on Feb. 18 2011 for a house I was rehabing. Knowing it was used he also gave me a 3 year warranty with a $65/yr service contract. Starting on 20 August, after a difficult time getting a hold of him ( had to call a second partty to get him),he finnaly came out and checked the system and found debry in the fan and the motor was burnt out. I was not in town to see him, but my wife ( [redacted] ) was there to oversee the service and paid him $180 for the service. The invoice stated he put in a brand new motor. The A/C system failed again on 26 Aug. Same problem. We tried to call him and had the same problem, no answer (voice mail box full). When we did get a hold of him he came out at 11pm that evening and told my wife that the motor had a factory defect and said he installed another new motor/warranty. On Sunday August 28, the A/C system failed again. We tried to call him and again he would not respond to any calls. We tried to text him and again he would not respond. My wife and I went over to his residence at [redacted] and tried to see if he was home. Through a closed door a child answered and when I asked if his dad was home he said yes. Then a women answered through the closed door and when asked if he was home she said he was not and to try to call him on his cell phone. We told her we had and if there was another number to call. She said "no that was the only one he had. As we were starting to leave she came out and I asked if he was there she said he was asleep and they did not feel good. I had to call another A/C company and they came out within 2 hours. The service man told me the unit was trash and unsafe and there were a number of wiring violations and a brick was holding up the fan unit. He also showed me the USED fan motor that was put in (have invoice for NEW motor ). Had to purchase a new A/C system for $5200. On 8/29 [redacted] finnally called me back. I told him what the deal was and offered him to refund me my money.
