I am writing this letter as a formal compliant to report the unfair and deceptive business practices of G&S Collision Center. My husband and I were inconvenienced and incurred excessive cost due to their negligence. We initially dropped our 2014 Toyota Highlander off for hail damage repair in April of 2017. An insurance adjuster inspected the hail damage and assessed the total cost of repairs to be over $9000 dollars. G&S Collision Center chose to send our car to *** for paintless dent removal work. G&S Collision Center retained our vehicle for approximately 4 weeks. Over the course of repair, I was contacted by *** requesting G&S Collision Center submit a supplemental funding form to receive additional money to repair our car. G&S Collision Center had assessed the hail damage and determined it to be more extensive than the Insurance adjuster. The total cost of repairs is not reflected on our paid bill. My husband and I paid the remaining balance, which was the deductible, at the time we picked up the car on May 26th. My husband discovered the malfunctioning passenger side window the evening of May 26th. *** informed , G&S Collison Manager, about the malfunctioning window on Tuesday, May 30th. *** stated the window malfunction could be a "reset" issue and the company would have to send it back to *** to be repaired if needed. *** returned the car to G&S Collision on Wednesday morning, June 6th 2017. At approximately 4:45p, my husband and I contacted the receptionist at G&S Collison Center, she informed us the vehicle was sent to . She stated , G&S Collison Co-Owner, had spoke with *** and our vehicle was not ready and they would have to keep it one more day. We expressed how this was problematic because we were scheduled to go out of town for our 4th Wedding Anniversary on Thursday, June 8th. *** authorized a one day rental through *** for Wednesday. Upon returning from our trip, we began dealing with this daunting issue on Monday, June 12th. *** stated he talked with *** early Friday morning and confirmed neither *** nor G&S Collison would be paying for the window repair. G&S Collision never reached out to us by phone to relay their decision not to pay for the cost of repair. We learned the final decision through . *** quoted the cost of the repair thus far would be over $200 for the diagnostic alone if we chose not to have the motor replaced. The total cost of the repair was $730.00.

Desired Outcome

Desired Settlement: Our expectations have clearly been violated. We expected G&S Collison to stand behind the work completed by any 3rd party they entrusted our vehicle to for services. We believe good customer service includes having integrity when hiring a 3rd party to complete collision work on G&S Collision's behalf. They have misrepresented their company's values and how they value their customers. This ordeal caused us great stress as it spanned over a time period, our anniversary that should have been celebratory. Instead we were forced to devote more time and energy to getting this settled and trying to rectify someone else's mistake. My husband and I are seeking reimbursement of the cost of the repair. Thank you for your time and any help in finding a viable solution.

G & S Collision is out of business. Due to the company being out of business there is no more that can be done.

This issue was resolved by our insurance company once they heard we were not happy with the collision companies response.

Water damage was sustained to my car while in the company's care for repairs. The manager has not proposed an acceptable plan of action to mitigate it. I left my car with G&S Collision on June 5th and advised the associate that my car had a gap at the top of the passenger door due to my accident and could not be left outside and exposed to the rain. The sales associate said that he would take my car inside and I left my keys with him and went to collect my rental. I returned today June 16th to find my passenger seat with water damage to the passenger seat causing water marks and bubbling to he leather. The damage was obvious upon entering my car and I called it to the associates attention immediately. The associate agreed and brought the owner out to see the issue. The owner was very rude stating he never left the car out and in the beginning pretended not to see the damage. After I pointed out the clear damage the owner then wiped the seat with a rag soaked in cleaner of some kind and stated "well what do you want me to do. I don't think it's fair that you're saying this is my fault." I stated I wanted him to repair my seat. I stated that I discussed having my car kept inside due to the damage to the door to prevent this very issue from occurring. The owner took pictures of the seat, as did I, and stated he would contact *** to see what they had to say about it. I called *** hours later and they had never been contacted by the owner and were not aware of the damages to my seat. *** agreed that G&S needed to take ownership for the damages and make the repairs. I'm still waiting to hear back from G&S as to how they plan to make this situation right.

Desired Outcome

I would like G&S to replace my water damaged seat. As simple as that.

G & S Collision is out of business but during a Revdex.com investigation we located 1 employee remaining with the new company that purchased G & S Collision. he stated the water damage to the seat that the consumer has had an issue with was paid for and replaced by G & S Collision (when they were still in business). The slight bulge in the stitching was how the cover was made - not from the installation of the cover. Due to the company being out of business there is no more that can be done.
