The customer is correct when they stated the install was scheduled to be completed on 11/However, our install partner determined that he would need custom transitions due to the height variance between the newly installed floor and existing floor in other areas of the homeHe did not feel comfortable offering a year warranty if he installed the transitions provided by the storeHe felt as if they would fail shortly after install and could create a tripping hazard as one side of the transtion would stick up higher than the other sideOur company emailed the store on 11/notifying them of our concerns and informed them that we would need to order custom transitionsThe slight delay is standard as we need to receive communication from the install team as to the specifics of the transitions and then create a quote to provide to the storeWe received an email from the store on 11/stating the customer was disputing this request and felt as if we should install the transitions on siteIt was explained that the install team did not feel comfortable warranty the work if these transitions were installedA quote was sent to the store on 11/We received an email from the store on 11/stating the customer was not going to pay for the transitions and would be installing these items themselvesThe store cancelled the PO and notified us that the customer did not want us to returnIn some cases, including this one, customers believe they know better regarding the specifics of a complicated installHowever, they do not understand the install warranty processWe could have possibly installed the material provided but did not feel as if this was the right thing to do for the customer as the install team had concerns about an early failure or a possible liability issueIn the end, we made every effort to provide the customer the appropriate service and are still willing to complete the necessary workIt was the customers choice to finalize the transaction themselves

I cannot speak to the customers reference regarding documented callsI also cannot comment on what someone else may have saidWhat I can tell you is that all of our attempts towards resolution are documentedAlso, I spoke directly with the installerBased on that conversation, I was able to confirm a quote was created for the custom transitionsAs stated earlier, this was sent to the storeIt was outlined that this material would be required to warranty the installation of the transitionsThere was some confusion initially as to the type of transition needed but that conversation turned specifically to the required custom transition after we spoke with the installer.Lastly, we have always contended that we wanted to do the right thing for the customerI was working with the store to reduce costs and, until the last communication from the store, was willing to continue to work towards the proper resolutionHowever, we were told that the customer did not want us backWith that said, our install teams have to warranty the correct work and we are required to stop working towards resolution when the customer says stopUnfortunately, nothing more could have been done in this situation

I ordered floor from *** *** and I had many questions about removal of our floorI called several timesThey were very patient and helpfulWhen I set up date of install is was almost a month later which was disappointing but they called when sooner date opened upThey were very professional HARD working installersThey seemed to really care and wanted everything to look perfectThree workers came out and worked very hard ALL DAYThe day after G S flooring even called to see if I was satisfiedI would give them stars if possible!

I had GS floor design install a whole house carpet installation yesterday Be very careful someone from the crew stole my wedding ring and I had placed it in a very secure locationThe installer in that room kept the door closed and would not let my husband or I see what he was doing, now we know going thru my things

I am rejecting this response because: I have phone records of calls with GS showing November at 8:AM and 10:AM clearly stating we did not need custom pieces and to please send his workers back to complete the job*** *** also has documented records of calls made to GS. The manager spoke with *** at *** *** and said he would call us which he did notThey clearly ignored our and *** ***s repeated contacts to complete the job. I cannot respond to the claim of what the Manager of GS was told by his employee. I only know that he told me I did not receive all the material required which was not true.

This has been the most unprofessional company I have ever worked withI had a carpet installation scheduled for today and the installer decided not to show up for workI took a PTO day from work to be home for installation today and The company did not even have any back upThey are also scheduled out far on tile installation which is not efficient- due to being short staffed (per the representivive)Ended up canceling my tile order and using another companyIf carpet is not installed within the next day or two that will be canceled as wellThe company seems very unorganized and very unprofessionalDo not use!

Company was subcontractor assigned to perform installation of bamboo floor purchased from *** ***Installation scheduled for August was partially completed August after I was told the floor needed to be leveled on the 3rd (for a significant extra charge)It was not finished then because I was told the stair nose and transitions *** *** sold me were not the right size and I would need to buy custom pieces through them (for more extra charges)After repeated phone calls over the next month with no response someone finally told me they would order the pieces that day but installer would need to take more measurements Wednesday morning Sept By late Wednesday morning there was no call and no sign of him so I called back and was told he was at another job and would be there by 3, so I missed an entire day of workA week or so later I got a call that the installer would be in my area the week of October (because apparently waiting months with a half finished job isn’t wor

They went further to stand behind their work than any company I have dealt with We were not happy with the the seam in the carpeting job in a large sun room They ordered replacement carpeting at their own cost and redid the whole job to our satisfaction They were also very pleasant to deal with They probably lost money on our job, but they were more interested in satisfying us

GS Floor Design was hired through *** *** to install laminate flooring in our homeOn 9/7/the order was placed for flooring, trim and installation that was completely paid for as required by *** *** After waiting a month for installation, the installers arrived on 10/10/to install The installers proceeded to tear up our carpeting and after removing half of our very large area that was to be worked on decided that the floor boards underneath where not the correct kind to install the laminate on After taking a few photos and speaking with the *** *** the installers said they would wait on the response from the *** *** The installers proceeded to leave without any notice to us taking half of our carpeting with themWe are now left with half of our carpet and padding removed and gone, exposed staples which is a safety concern and unable to enjoy the comfort of our home for an undisclosed amount of timeHad the installers just lifted up the corner of the carpeting they would of been able to have come to the determination that the floor boards where not the right kind and could of simply left our carpet and padding in tact giving us the resolve of what our options as to or not to continue with some other type of replacement of our old carpetingAs of now we do not have any options but to have some kind of flooring installed at a cost of triple the price of what had been purchased as we have been left with bare floors on half our areaWe have also been told that a new order will take weeks to be delivered and we will have to wait weeks after delivery for another installation date that will take us to the middle of NovemberPlease beware that if you are having floors installed by this company that it is crucial that the type of flooring underneath be spot checked at a corner before removal of old flooring as if it is not correct they will walk off the jobWe are looking at a very time consuming and financial burden and so wish we had our old carpeting still intactIt would really be a good idea to steer clear of this flooring company that *** *** contracts out to for their in home installations

This company is a bureaucratic black hole of careless employees providing shoddy work and terrible customer serviceI hired them to install my backsplash via *** *** and they left the project incomplete, made a mess of my home, and took off with my purchased suppliesAfter more than a month of disappointment and frustration making multiple calls and emails trying to get the issue resolved, I filed a credit card dispute to get my money back from *** ***This company should not be in business

GS Flooring was contracted by *** *** to install our hardwood floor On the second day of installation, Friday afternoon November 3, 2017, at PM, the laborer told me that we did not have the threshold pieces to complete the job He said we needed custom pieces which would take a while to fabricate and then they would return
Saturday morning November 4th, my husband who does carpentry work himself, saw that we did have ALL the threshold pieces required to complete the job I called GS at AM Saturday morning to tell them we do NOT WANT OR NEED custom threshold pieces fabricated We NEED GS to return and complete the job they started with the the wood here My husband contacted *** *** and informed them of the situation
GS never returned our phone calls and according to *** ***, GS never replied to them either *** *** received a statement from GS for $for custom threshold pieces which we refused as my husband could install the ones we had himself

It was explained that the install team did not feel comfortable warranty the work if these transitions were installed. A quote was sent to the store on 11/12. We received an email from the store on 11/15 stating the customer was not going to pay for the transitions and would be installing these items themselves. The store cancelled the PO and notified us that the customer did not want us to return. In some cases, including this one, customers believe they know better regarding the specifics of a complicated install. However, they do not understand the install warranty process. We could have possibly installed the material provided but did not feel as if this was the right thing to do for the customer as the install team had concerns about an early failure or a possible liability issue. In the end, we made every effort to provide the customer the appropriate service and are still willing to complete the necessary work. It was the customers choice to finalize the transaction themselves.
