The company said that they disclose all issues with a vehicle, I am here to say that that is not the caseI purchase the vehicle with one bald tire on the inside, it was the back right tireAlso there were two bent rims on the vehicle, none of which was told to me to be wrong with the vehicleThe photos of the vehicle online looked a lot better than what the vehicle did when I saw itI understand that the vehicle gets dirty, however somehow the antenna on the top of the vehicle was snapped offThat was not shown in the photos onlineIf anyone is to consider purchasing a vehicle from them, especially them, you absolutely must get the vehicle inspectedDo not trust them to disclose all of what is wrong with the vehicle, or to be even be aware of all that is wrong with the vehicleIn addition to that also do not expect that any regularly scheduled maintenance that should be done by a set number of miles is actually done on the vehicle you are purchasingBasically I am repeating myself, because that leads to say that you must get the vehicle inspectedI got a great price on the car I will say that, however if I had known that I would have come with all the headache that it didI would have taken my business elsewhere

It was a pleasant surprise to have a salesperson who was not pressuring me into purchase of the vehicleI was treated with respect in spite of acknowledging my poor credit historyFinance manager didn't give up on me and I was approved for a loan on a vehicle that was not my choice (Range Rover), but the one that would get me to workI was advised to come back in a year to try to get a vehicle of my choiceIt's been few month since I bought Honda Civic and I am looking forward to switching into something more luxurious once my credit improves

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I purchased a vehicle in good faith with Indy Auto Man, I traded in my only vehicle and almost $5000 cash.  Upon purchasing the vehicle somehow there was a mistake on their end with my plates.  My current plates has been expired for over 2 months and I still have not received a solution.  I literally can not drive the vehicle with expired plates.
I want some temporary plates until they work out the mishap on their end or just file the correct paperwork and send me my info so I could get my own plates.
Regards,
[redacted]

This is related to the previous complaint filled with Revdex.com.  We called customer yesterday to let him know that he can go to his local BMV to register the car. Any questions can be forwarded to the title department. [redacted].

Indy Auto Man would like to thank Andre for his business. We apologize for any mistakes done on our part. As far as extension plate, the only legal route we could take is to send Temporary 30-day Permit (State Form 37868), since it is against Indiana Code to issue 2nd temporary plate. Any further...

questions/concerns can be directed to Mike [redacted] through a Guest Services form that can be found on our website, www.indyautoman.com or call Victor [redacted] at [redacted].

Indy Auto Man sold me a bmw sportwagon that was said to be all wheel drive in August of 2013...6 months later, the car was stuck in a snowy driveway of upstate New York...clearly two wheel drive (this was also confirmed by my mechanic). Besides misrepresenting the car prior to purchase, I have had problem after problem keeping this car running. I've pushed this car to my local mechanic many times after having shotty work done through Indy Auto Man under my "warranty." Essentially, you get a 3 month 50/50 powertrain warranty...however they don't seem to understand the concept of you paying 50% and them paying 50%...I ended up paying for everything and honestly, it was for the best... They used extremely cheap parts and/or patches to "repair" things I noticed prior to and after the purchase (not to mention they simply did not acknowledge problems the car had...such as the check engine light coming on less than a day after purchase). They had some painter spray paint the front seats before putting it on the lot. Day of purchase, you couldn't tell... 2 weeks later, the seats color was flaking off and cracking (I know have partially tan seats with huge grey splotches…how luxurious). I know vinyl interior repainting is a common practice for many used car dealers, however this was clearly not meant to last for long. The car was even sold to me without an oil cap on the engine (nice surprise two days later when I terrible oil smell was coming from the engine. Part of our purchase agreement was to stop the vibration coming from the steering wheel. Indy Auto Man said they would have it fixed only if taken to their 3rd part mechanic up the road. Turns out, the mechanic said the alignment was near perfect…the vibration was caused from two heavily bent rims on the car…Upon asking if Indy Auto Man would fix them, of course the answer was “no.” Additionally, when applying for insurance, the premium was HIGHER than expected due to the vin number showing the car as having a manual transmission…my car is an automatic. The owner of the dealership told me they had just replaced the gear shift column in my car prior to putting it on the lot…For all I know, this car was originally stick shift and they pieced it together. If it was originally automatic, the vin should say automatic.

Additional problems I’ve had to fix so far:
Door locks working intermittently, brakes shot (they supposedly “replaced” these as part of the purchase agreement, no heat in the winter, stalling/spitting/sputtering, suspension issues, oil pressure issues, transmission not engaging (has to be reset with a code scanner weekly to make it work), lights not working, etc…

Last but not least, Indy Auto Man’s former onsite mechanic (that worked for them when I purchased my car and had “warranty” repairs done) called me and personally apologized for the work done to my car. He explained that he left Indy Auto Man to start his own business as they did not permit him to communicate the actual needs of their vehicles to the customers or properly repair issues.

I have put so much money and time into this car, it sickens my friends, family, and coworkers. I was fresh out of college, recently married, in need of a safe car to commute to work in, and wanted establish my credit. I was trying to be responsible and plan for the future. I had researched this specific vehicle as being one of the most reliable, safe, and well-engineered BMWs ever built. I am confident that if I had bought this same model from a different dealer, it would have been properly and professionally prepared prior to being put on the lot and represented honestly. This car was clearly something they purchased cheaply at auction, gave it a 2 cent spit shine, and attempted to sell as a premium example of what a BMW should be. I plan on paying this wallet vampire off this week, nearly three years early, just to be done with it.

Based on the VARIOUS other poor consumer reviews, I look forward to receiving a rude and belittling response on how they are not responsible for their product. Seems to be their go-to defense...

I came to Indy Auto Man on the worst possible day weather wise as my car was totaled and I needed to find a replacement ASAP. Victor was very kind to me and showed me quite a few cars before I settled on Honda that I fell in love with. Victor made everything simple and while I was signing papers he laminated a temporary tag for me and handed second set of keys as I exited the office of the paperwork guy. Will definitely recommend.
