Review: My car has power windows, and the window of the driver side has the function to either go fully up or down with just one quick press or pull of the button.

I went to G. Win auto repair shop on 11/15/14 to fix my window because the driver side window does not close firmly. Before I went to the shop, I made an appointment via phone. I arrived at 7:45am, which was prior to my appointment time, and I waited there until 2:50pm to have my car back.

I waited for 2 hours to get to know what was wrong with my power window. The owner said in order to fix the window, the regulator and motor need to be replaced. I asked how long will the service take, he said it will be 1 to 2 hours. In addition to the 2 hours I waited for the diagnosis, I waited for another 5 hours for it to get repaired, which was not what within the time period he promised.

After the regulator and motor are replaced, the technician, **, tells me that the window can go fully down with one press, but it cannot go up with just one quick pull.

I said I have the car for 15 years and I am certain that the driver side window can go up with just one quick pull of the button. ** said he DOES NOT know if my car has the function before the shop replaced the parts.

I asked the technician to change the parts back so he can see the correct function of the power window, but he said he couldn’t do that. I asked to have the old regulator and motor back, and he said he couldn’t do that. I said I know the law said I could have the parts back. The owner left for the day already, so ** called the owner. After ** talked to the owner, ** gave me the parts back.

My driver side window was not repaired properly. I stated the issue with the technician and the problem was still not solved. Therefore, I need to file this complaint against G. Win Auto repair.Desired Settlement: I request the owner to quickly and properly repair my power window. Otherwise, to issue a full refund and to compensate the 7 hours of my waiting time since the repair was not finished within his promising time.
