Reference ID: [redacted] We have been selling puppies as a hobby for a while now when our own pets would have a litter we have always told anyone who contact us the same speech every time which I can send you several references that will back this up, and it goes like this; We only ask for a very small deposit unlike most breeders they ask for at least half of the full price of the dog and there is no refund "we require a $deposit to be placed on our list, this deposit is refundable if either your change your mind for any reason before the litter is born, or if we don't end up having enough or the color or sex of the puppy they request." But if we contact then and they decide to wait for the next litter again for whatever reason then they have passed on the puppy we had for them and therefore they at that time are not open to a refund of their deposit because we had fulfilled our portion of the bargain, in this case Mrs [redacted] not only passed on one litter to wait on the next but they did it again we had a second puppy for her and she passed againThen months later contact us and says they have decided another path to go and wanted a refund, I told her I would be happy to get her one but first I needed to check our records because when she first contacted me about a refund I was not home, and respond by email from my phone As clearly as we can be she passed on two different litters in which we had a puppy for her and therefore we had to turn other people downthen for only to decide twice they wanted to wait longer and then we had to scramble to find a home for the puppy she passed on I'm sending you copies of two recent deposits that had been returned to people that either they changed their minds or we did not have a puppy at that time for them and instead of waiting for another litter they decided to take a refund and look elsewhere [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: during my conversations with *** *** we were reassured we could always receive a refund, especially as we were always on the wait listThe one time he contacted us about a puppy being available was when someone else placed further ahead of us, decided not to take a puppyWe were not ready to accept the puppyAgain, at no stage whatsoever, did *** *** let us know there was a "no refund" policyIf we had have known about this policy in the first place, we would never have agreed to pay a non refundable depositAs per my previous emails, *** didn't even recall who I was & doubted that we had had conversationsThe day I called *** at his wok to discuss the refund, he had agreed to take care of it that afternoon once he got home from work & he would mail me out a cheque
At no time were we aware of a no refund policy until ***'s flurry of emails the day he got home from work when he basically said, we are not getting a refundWe don't have a product & I want the $refund that is owed to meAgain, his "refund policy" isn't listed anywhere on his website nor was it mentioned on any of the phone conversations that we apparently "didn't have"

I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] may have some verbal policy that he supposedly tells very customer, but I can assure you I have heard none if this right up until asking for the refund. 
Fact: [redacted] had agreed to issue a cheque refund the day that I called him at his office. He then emailed me telling me he didn't know who I was & that no, I wouldn't be getting a refund.
Fact: [redacted]'s policy is not written anywhere on his website nor is it on my receipt nor was it ever verbalised to me. I don't care how many "witness's" or satisfied customers [redacted] may have, I would not not have paid a non refundable deposit to anyone, for anything, least of all for a puppy that had a long ae wait list to even receive one.
My complaints stands & it will not be changed.

2.      the deposit is refundable anytime for any reason "till the puppies are born"
3.      also a refund can be issued if we do not have the puppy you ordered , but this gives you and option, you can either take a refund or move to the next litter.
4.      all puppies come with microchips installed
5.      puppies come with their Akc papers for registration
6.      puppies come with their first set of shots and shot records
7.      a health guarantee
8.      sample of the food the puppies have been eating  
9.      the customer that filed this complaint reached that mark when the first litter was born but yet they wanted to push the delivery time back to the next little again
