Review: On Dec.2nd 2013 I [redacted] was pulled over by a Va state police, I received a ticket for dead tags. I began to question myself on how I let this happen. I felt foolish.Then I realized I had never received a renewal notice from the DMV. I went home that evening and for over a hour I was on the DMV website, trying to renew over the website, every time I put in my tag # and vin it said invalid.The next morning I drove my mothers car to the DMV. The teller at the DMV looked puzzled when I handed her my registration and told her why I was there. It took her almost ten mins, but she looks up at me and says well that explains why you never got a renewal notice in the mail. The tags on your car have never been registered, she what she told me. I had to have all new tags and registration. So came home and the following morning my mother called JD Byrider (she is the co-owner)and they were very rude with her. The first lady she spoke with said I cant help you , you will have to call back when my supervisor gets back from lunch in 45 mins. So we called back spoke with [redacted] the general manager. He was even more rude, he said its not my fault you let your tags go dead!!! we ensured him that was not the issue. The issue is you never registered the tags you issued to me!! He said adults do not yell at one another. We were very upset at this point, so attitude is what we gave right back to him. He didn't even want to listen to the real reason this was a horrible mistake on their end. I work with the public and you DO NOT as a manager speak to customers like that. I was not upset that my tags went dead, my issue is I had been driving a car for over a year with illegal tags.That is the issue!!The last words from General Manager [redacted] was ha ha ha I tell you what I am going to mail you all of our paper work and when you see we didn't do anything wrong I expect an apology phone call. I will never apologize to them. I feel like that I should be reimbursed, and everyone should know how careless they are.Desired Settlement: I would love for JD Byrider to take responsibility for their careless mistake. Instead of placing blame on everyone else. I also want this to be known so that is doesn't happen to anyone else , if it hasn't already!! I mean I paid for legal tags when I bought the car. They should at least reimburse me that. I am not asking for them to pay the ticket for out of date tags , that was and is my responsibility..... Just have some manors and run a good business too..

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I have attached a copy of the original DMV work for this customer’s vehicle. We sent the customer a copy of this paperwork on December 4, 2013 certified mail. The customer signed for it on December 6th. It shows this vehicle was registered in their name on October 30, 2012.
