and gave her the partthat we ordered for her in hopes she might get a response out of her phone while plugged in overnight.Any more questions feel free to call or email me.Terence Y*** GadgetGuyz Kapiolani Blvd#F Honolulu, HI 808-226-2929From: [email protected]: Friday, May 12, 3:PMTo: ***@hawaii.Revdex.com.orgSubject: Re: ID ***Aloha ***,Sorry, but this is the first I have seen an email from you.I recall ***,the customer who had brought in this broken Motorola phone As I had tried to explain to her, a broken cell phone is a broken phone.Yes, we are in the business to repair cellular phones and have for years in Hawaii In some cases there are extenuating circumstances.For the majority of this years we were aMotorola Authorized Warranty Service Center Recently, a few yearsback, the Motorola Company was purchased by Google and spunoff to the Lenovo Group This transition reduced all support and partsfor past and present Motorola Cellular Phones No more schematicsand no more parts makes it nearly impossible to get the necessarytools to do all repairs.Her situation required purchasing a LCD Display Screen to hopefullyfix the device and solve her problem Unfortunately, the part wasnot available from US manufacturers we have to ship it in from China and hope for the best.After replacement of the LCD Display Screen the phone screen wouldnot light up and so this makes the phone now unusable.These types of problems occur occasionally We have on display our"Repairs Policy" which lays some of this information out for customersto help them understand about their broken phones and what to expect.We do the best we can to get the customers phone back working butthere are times when we can loose a patient on the table It's like beinga surgeon and working on a patient Occasionally things don't survive.Because it is not possible to get proper Schematics (roadmaps to thecircuitry within the phone) repairs become not economically feasable.I asked *** if she had insurance or was due for an upgrade butshe said she was not I told her it looks like its time for her to look atbuying a new phone and probably a Samsung or Apple since good partsare available to repair these phones All the repair shops in Hawaiistay away from even touching Motorola phones due to these problems.I told *** I would leave the replacement screen on her phone fora few days just to see if it would come back It is a common occurancefor phones to magically start working and I hoped hers would power up.She ended up being angry because she felt that we are liable for herbroken phone but we try to make it clear that a broken phone sometimesis not repairable, especially with limited tools from Motorola.She thinks I'm just blaming Motorola but the truth is Motorola is like mostmanufacturers who just want you to buy a new phone Our businesslike most repair shops is becoming obsolete due to the limitations putupon us by the manufacturers My best associates/competitors have closed their shops in the past months due to this problem.I'm attaching my "Repair Policy" document on display for customers to read.Hopefully this will help you to make a reasonable decision on this case.Thank you for your assistance,Terence Y***GadgetGuyz Kapiolani Blvd#F Honolulu, HI 808-226-
