The customer placed the order on January 17. Two days for processing and another day...

Our customer service line, which the customer called on the 23rd, is staffed 8-5 Monday through Friday. We also have a customer service email listed on the web sit, and a contact form. At any time between the 17th and the 20th, if the customer was concerned about the order he could have contacted us directly. Also, if he had a specific date by which the package was needed, he could have contacted us to see how to ensure delivery by that date.
When the customer did call, we recalled the package and refunded the customers complete payment, including gift-wrapping fees and shipping.
