Gaeta Recycling

Review: The town of [redacted] contracts Gaeta for garbage removal. During the summer months Gaeta is required to pick up garbage 2 times a week. Gaeta has failed to remove our garbage on numerous occasions without explanation. We have camera's pointed to the outside of our house. When Gaeta failed to pick up our garbage this morning, the tape was reviewed and we can not find just reason. Upon contacting the town, we were informed that a form will be filled out and submitted to Gaeta. I contacted Gaeta myself and spoke with a gentleman from dispatch. He informed me that he would have the garbage picked up. Upon returning home, the garbage was still curbside. We live on a mountain with wildlife. It is unsafe to have garbage left outside for an extended period of time. We did not miss this mornings pick up as I stated earlier this has been an issue we've experienced on numerous occasions. We would like to know if we are being discriminated against or there is another unforeseen reason.Desired Settlement: Before these complaints become numerous in nature, aka town meetings, etc .... we would like to know how this can be resolved.

As per contractual agreements with our communities we service, we are not to make direct contact with residents regarding complaints. Those are to be directed to the towns DPW. Often times customers put out their garbage late or not at all and then claim we never pick up. However, when we receive a call from the local authority, we dispatch a truck to retrieve garbage that may have been missed for one reason or another. That said, we respond within 24 hours to these requests.
