Not providing paid service on repair for 17 days.On 27 Jul, I contacted [redacted] Insurance for repair of my home applicance that is covered by such insurance. They contacted Mr. John Gaines, owner of the business and he contacted me to come out to see the issue with the dryer. Mr. Gaines stated that it was a main board and that he would contact the insurance warranty company to get the part sent to him to repair the dryer. Mr. Gaines stated the part would take 5 days to arrive. On 2 August I contacted [redacted] to check the status of the part/repair and I was informed that the part had not been ordered. The Customer Service Rep stated he would contact Mr. Gaines to see what the issue was. I received notification in email stating that the part had been ordered on 6 Aug and that it would be 3 to 5 business days to arrive at the contractor's address: This is the email I received: Customer Name: [redacted] Dispatch Number: XXXXXXXXXService Contractor Name: GAINES APPLIANCE HEATING & AIR REPAIR SEService Contractor Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXService Item: DRYERShipper: FEDEXTracking Number: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Part(s) have been ordered to complete your repair and are expected to arrive at the above named service contractor business office within the next three to five business days. Once the contractor receives the part(s), the contractor will contact you to schedule an appointment during normal business hours. If you do not hear from the contractor within six business days of this email, please contact the contractor directly at the above noted phone number and be prepared to provide your AHS dispatch number. The part was not ordered by the contractor as he stated when he was at my home until after a week later and only when I contacted AHS to check the status of the repair and the part. Indicated below is the tracking info from Fed Ex when the part was delivered to Mr. Gaines: .Travel History Help Hide Date/Time Activity Location - 8/07/2013 - Wednesday 3:41 pm Delivered Henning, TN Left at front door. Signature Service not requested. The part was delivered on 7 Aug 13. After waiting on a call from Mr. Gaines to schedule an appointment for repair of the appliance, I contacted [redacted] again and informed them I was not happy with this contractor and that he had not contacted me and they again contacted Mr. Gaines. Finally I contacted Mr. Gaines and spoke with him on Sat, 10 Aug and Mr. Gaines stated he was running a day behind on schedule and he would call me once he arrived home and checked his appointments. I waited until 11 Aug and had not received a phone call from Mr. Gaines. I contacted [redacted] again and complained again and they contacted Mr. Gaines and he told [redacted] he would contract me on Monday, 12 Aug and he has not contacted me by phone as of yet to schedule an appointment. Our conversations have been either me contacting him or through [redacted] Today is 12 Aug and he has not contacted me, but [redacted] contacted me and stated that he had an appointment available tomorrow 13 Aug at 3:00 to come out and repair. I informed [redacted] that it was unacceptable, that I stayed home today to wait on his call and he had not contacted me. 17 days of waiting on a repair that I have paid him for is unacceptable and I only live within 4.6 miles of this business and it should only take less than an hour to install a main board into the dryer. I feel that he has stolen my service fee that I provided on the 27th of July and he has not lived up to his end of the contract. I have requested to speak to a supervisor at [redacted] and I still have not received a phone call from the insurance company to address this issue. Desired Settlement Refund of paid service fee.

Came to my home to get parts list needed for repairs. Took my deductible and will not respond to calls or emails. From me or Amer home shield.[redacted] Gaines call me after service request was placed and stated that he would be at my House that day between one and 2 PM and he never showed up. He called me around 730 that night and stated that he got tied up and would like to make arrangements to come over Tuesday evening. He came to my residence at 10 o'clock at night to look at my dryer for repairs be made a he came to my residence at 10 o'clock at night to look at my dryer for repairs and he made parts list, but stated that the service center was closed for the evening and that he would call in the parts order in the morning. The parts have never been ordered and he will not return phone calls or emails from myself or American home Shield. This is my second poor experience with his customer service and I have notified American home Shield that he should be removed from their vendor list. Desired SettlementI want him to call in the parts list so my dryer can be fixed as it is tearing and snagging my clothing. I have ruined three of my uniform work shirts and two pair of dress pants. I feel he should reimburse me for the cost due to the delays in service.

STOVE AND MICROWAVE BROKE DEC 2013 COULD NOT GET THIS CONTRACTED OUT COMPANY OUT TO LOOK AT IT TILL APRIL 2014 NOW SEPT HAVE NOT RETURNED A PHONE CALLBOUGHT A HOUSE SEPT 2013 CAME WITH APLLIANCE WARRENTY. DEC 2013 STOVE AND MICROWAVE BROKE. COULD NOT GET GAINES OUT TILL APRIL 2014. RESULTS ARE MICROWAVE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. ITS IS NOW SEPT AND WE HAVE NOT HAD ONE RETURNED PHONE CALL SINCE HER CAME IN APRIL. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED THIS WAY. I AM A NEW HOMEOWNER AND YOU PAY FOR A GARUNTEE YOU APLLIANCE WILL BE FIXED OR REPLACE AND YOU GO 9 MONTHS WITHOUT THAT APPLIANCE BECAUSE THE SERVICE CAN NOT BE PROVIDED. Desired SettlementI WOULD LIKE A REFUND OF THE ONE YEAR WARRENTY I PAID FOR WHEN I BOUGHT THIS HOUSE AND I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A DIFFERENT APPLIANCE COMPANY TO COME OUT AND FIX MY MICROWAVE

I am an [redacted] customer, and I recently requested service on my gas furnace. After submitting my claim, I was informed that Gaines Appliance, Heating & Air would be fulfilling my service request. Since I had never heard of this business, I Googled their name in an attempt to get a better idea of others experience with them. I read the negative reviews on this site and had serious concerns before today's appointment. After receiving today's service I felt compelled to share that the level of service I received today was outstanding.
