I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The Moose Lodge had a lawyer send a letter that makes statements that are totally false. There were not any Handy Capped parking spaces available or I would have taken advantage of them. There was no first come, first served parking for the Handy Capped.  I was told clearly that there would be a golf cart available and there wasn't. The golf cart was there, there just was not anyone that was authorized to drive it. That was what I was told. The Moose Lodge would rather pay a local lawyer to make false statements then to admit they just were not set up to accommodate the old or handy capped. It's easier to pay this lawyer that probably doesn't even go to the convention write it off,  then to own up to the truth. I was also told that because I paid my hard earned money for an extra camping spot for my van then I could not relocate it It's a shame that the Moose Lodge has to be dishonest  in this issue. They don't care. It's all about the MONEY! I will complain to the State of Virginia about this and I bet some one will be watching them next year! I had pictures on my phone and if I can get them back I will send them.

Review: I went to this festival, the second weekend of August 2015. I have a physical disability and have a state Virginia Permanent Disabled Parking Placard.When I arrived at the park where the festival was held I presented the card to the gentleman at the front gate. In the last two years when I attended the festival, when I presented the Disability Placard, I was sold a campsite relatively close to the center of attractions. This year I was placed in the most remote area of the entire park. I complained to the head of the Moose organization named [redacted] and he quickly passified me, promising that he would take steps to correct the problem. This did not happen! I was stranded over 350 yards from the stage, where all the activities was held. I explained to this [redacted] that I could walk, but had difficulties with long distances such as the long walk from the back of the park where they parked me. He promised me that there would be a golf cart available at the entrance of the field where they parked me. This was not true, I tried three different times to get a ride and was turned down each time for three different reasons. I finally had to leave the festival and return home very upset. There are laws against treating the disabled this way. There were Handy Capped Parking spaces clearly marked, but they refused to let me drive my van to one of those spaces, because I paid a $100.00 extra to park my van. I sent a request to their address and have received no reply.I asked for a refund of my money. I will contact the State of Virginia next if I don't get reimbursed. I have a copy of the letter that I sent them and the tickets that they sold me. I was not the only one who had problems getting around. I hope they complained also. there were at least seven camping sites not being used, near the stage but they would not let me relocate.Desired Settlement: They charged me $200.00 dollars for my camping sites and I'm requesting that they return my money.

Thank you for your letter forwarding the complaint referenced above.I am responding on behalf of the Galax Moose Lodge. As you requested, all references to the complainant's name have been removed from my response.My research discloses that the Lodge maintains handicapped parking and regular parking on a first-come, first-served basis. I am sorry that Complainant [redacted], did not find the parking or the availability of courtesy transportationsatisfactory.We respectfully decline Complainant [redacted]'s request for a refund, and we are sorry he did not find attendance at the Convention to be a pleasant experience.Thank you for your efforts to assist this individual.
