Dear Ms***:I am responding to your letter concerning a complaint from the above referenced case # [redacted] Atthe time of our auction the vehicles are started and all potential buyers are able to look under the hood.They are also allowed to check any malfunction lights on the inside of the vehicleIf we are aware of anyproblems with the vehicle the auctioneer discloses this at the time of saleI am enclosing the bill of salethat Ms [redacted] signed stating all vehicles are sold "WHERE IS"I have also included the auctionterms & conditions that was also signed by Ms [redacted] It is unfortunate that Ms [redacted] had mechanicalissues with this vehicle as she was aware of the rules and regulations upon purchasing it
To Whom It May Concern,In responce to case number [redacted] .On September 25, a warning sticker was place on a [redacted] Town Car on the property of [redacted] The warning stciker was written for having expired license plate, The sticker notified the owner of the vehicle he had until September 27, to renew his plates or the vehicle would be towed from the propertyShanks Towing has a contract with [redacted] and in the contract they want all vehicles with expired plates to be stickered for hours and if the tags are not renewed the vehicle will be towed [redacted] received a copy of the sticker that was placed on the vehicle along with pictures.Mr [redacted] called on October 2, he was advised of the charges for the vehicleIt had been in our possession for daysThe impound fee for the vehicle was $185.00, storage for days was $($a day) and a $processing feeOur fees are regulated and a vehicle must be processed through the Department of Motor Vehicle after hoursAll fees were explained to Mr [redacted] along with the reason for the processing feeHe was advised all fees must be paid in order to pick up his vehicleAt 4:57pm a lady called requiring about the charges alsoA release was then set up for 6pmAll fees were paid and the vehicle was then released to Mr ***.This was a lawful tow and all charges are in accordinace with state and county laws.If you have any questions you can contact us Monday - Friday from 8am to 5pmThank you, [redacted]
