Review: Bought the Galfer Complete Kit# FK003D744C for my 2006 Honda VFR800 Non-ABS from PashnitMoto.com on 04/20/2012 for $294.00. Had it installed by Hoodview Performance (Owner: [redacted]), 6**0 NE St [redacted]ns Road Vancouver WA 98665 - Phone: ###-###-#### Fax: ###-###-#### a few months later along with EBC HH brakes front and rear. Upon testing the bike and barely touching the front brake lever, luckily only at 10-20 mph, Brian found the brakes totally locking up for 20 or so seconds without releasing. Just think what would have happened at 60mph! Brian called you/Galfer and you shipped a second set next day air thinking we had a bad line, which I was very impressed with. Unfortunately Hoodview came up with the same problem again! At that point they put the original brake lines back on, but left the Galfer clutch line on. Everything seemed back to normal. Having been quoted $210.00 for the installation, I was getting a little nervous about the labor price, as they had done the "swap" 3 times. Brian charged me $352.30, which was not to bad at all. Called Honda to check on my extended warranty, as I really could not trust the brakes anymore, never knowing when they were going to lock up again and send me flying. Had 3 days left, and I was there at 7am the following morning, having ridden there, 35 miles, without touching the brakes knowing what could happen. Under warranty, they checked the whole system out, took master cylinders, proportioning valves etc. apart to look for anything at all! They did find an empty clutch reservoir due to a leaking Galfer clutch line. I had that switched out with the oem line at Hoodview after picking up the bike from Honda. I am now out riding again! But I am still out a total of $646.30 + time and milage..... which both I and Hoodview Performance feel I should be reimbursed for, as the kit made for the VFR is more or less a death trap!Desired Settlement: Would like to see a "Call Tag" for return of the Galfer Brake Lines, and a refund for parts, labor, distress, plus 2 weeks of additional commuting cost ($100.00) to and from work. Desired, and fair, Amount: $800.00!

I have viewed this complaint ID 9609117. My boss is out of the office until Thursday 8/1/13 He will be the one to make the final decision on this. I do not have the authority to do so.

Also- I would like you to know that I have searched my email back to 2 months ago, and today has been the only email and phone call I recieved from Revdex.com. I even searched my deleted items. I will get this complaint taken care of as soon as I can.

I am rejecting this response because: Corresponding with [redacted] (Customer Service Rep.) presently. Waiting for confirmation that the replacement line kit, obtained by Hoodview Performance, and returned by Hoodview Performance has been located. We are getting closer to an agreement, but things are not resolved yet!

Hello,

I have been constantly keeping up to date on this. I have been in contact with the complaintive. I received an email 8/6/13 stating that I havent responded. I called Revdex.com at 2:40 p.m that day to let them know I responded to the "rejection" from Peter on this case. And because he didnt respond to MY response, I couldnt reply to my own messeage. At this point I have gathered most of the info I need for this situation. I am waiting on a response from Brian @ Hoodview Performance for a tracking number. Ive called him twice and he still hasent given me anything. They are closed Mondays, so I will be calling him back today if I dont hear anything.

I am keeping everything documented. Times I call, emails I send, and everytime I get in contact with this website.

Please make note that Galfer is actively involved with this. We are just awaiting on a reply from another party.
