I do not normally fill my prescriptions with Gallagher's Pharmacy (South Austin Avenue.) I usually fill my prescriptions at Walgreen's because the pharmacist knows me well, the hours are good and they are open on weekendsI went to Gallagher's and asked the pharmacist Maureen to order me a special Cprescription, for they are one of the only local pharmacies that can order this type of prescriptionUpon pick-up, she preceded to ask me if I could transfer some of my prescriptions to Gallagher's because "she lost money on the prescription." She showed me the invoiceShe wanted to offset the cost of her loss with my other prescriptionsNot only that but the staff was rude to me after I apologized for itI don't know what I was thinking? I told her I would go elsewhere (like People's Pharmacy on Hwy 183.) I got to thinking, why should I have to go out of my way, in to Austin, minutes away, just so that she can satisfy her bottom line? I thought it was poor service and I thought I had every right to fill my prescription where I wanted toI will NOT recommend this location to anyone
My wife and I moved to Georgetown (TX) from Austin (TX) in After living in Austin for over years, we watched and experienced massive growth in population and servicesAustin lost the "small city feel" as it grew in all directionsWe found that great "small city feeling" immediately in Georgetown! One of the fantastic "finds" was Gallagher's! Maureen and all the "Gals" treated us like family, they explained all of the good and bad side of medications and helped us SO MUCH as my health issues grewWe love them all and feel loved as well! We have always been treated so well at the Williams Drive location and we were excited when they opened the South Austin Avenue storeThey opened in an first class office building with several of my doctors, ACL and ARA right thereWe care about friends and we would move prescriptions in or out if it helped Gallagher's bottom line! That is what family does, and they make us feel like family!
