Advertised product no longer available, accepted payment, did not notify product not available, delays in refund and no communicationOn 10/17/15 I placed an order online from a company called [redacted] for a bi weekly delivery of vegetable boxes. The website advertised many different fruits and vegetable boxes, with different sizes and delivery dates. After browsing I selected one of the options and entered a payment. I received an order number and an email confirmation right away assuring me that my order was being processed. The order number was [redacted] I received another email confirming the purchase and my account was billed for $34.32. After waiting for 3 weeks, I never received any product. I contacted the phone number on the website and the person who answered informed me that "oh yeah we no longer offer that." When I expressed that I had been billed for it and no one ever contacted me to let me know the product was no longer being offered, I was told that "we do not handle that and you need to call [redacted]." They gave me a phone number for "[redacted]." I called [redacted] and left a message and did not hear back from her. A few days later I called the company again and they told me, again, that they had nothing to do with it and to contact [redacted] eventually called me back the following week and assured me that everything was taken care of and it should just take about 72 hours for my bank to issue the reimbursement. Having received no confirmation for the reimbursement, I waited. When the refund was not posted five days later, I called [redacted] again, who was too busy to speak with me because she was busy "with her little one." After I explained to her that I did not receive the refund she assured me that the refund had been issued and that they were "having IT issues" and maybe that is why it hasn't posted. I received no email or further confirmation of the refund. The company has done nothing to address my concerns, or to explain why they did not contact me after taking my payment if they knew the service was no longer being provided. I am still waiting to hear from [redacted] regarding their IT issues and when I can expect my refund. It is worth to note that, following payment, I received an email confirmation instantly and no IT issues seemed to be present in taking the money out of my account. Desired SettlementI am seeking for a refund but I am also seeking for the Revdex.com to be alerted to this company's practices. When I spoke with them over the phone they mentioned that this had already happened with another customer. They have knowingly kept the advertisement and sale of a product they know they do not offer, and are willing to take people's money for it. The fact that no one contacted me to let me know I would not receive the product is concerning. Clearly, the company was aware that an order had been placed and someone's money was taken. Their inability to address the issue head on and the way they have communicated with me is unprofessional. Every time I call it seems someone is trying to pass the buck saying "I do not handle that matter." If you are a business and present yourself as one, it should not be my job to determine who in the company can assist me in getting my money for a product I did not receive. The fact that it has been almost a month of this is unacceptable. The Revdex.com should censure or investigate this company before more people give them their money. Business Response In 2009 [redacted] purchased the food assets of Galler Wholesale. Galler Wholesale is no longer in business, our company name is Galler Foods, Inc. and [redacted] has never worked for Galler Foods, Inc. As far as the complaint, we have shut down the website for Farm Truck Organics as we are no longer offering that product. Stripe is the payment system we used on that website. On October 23rd they issued Ms. [redacted]'s refund. We have contacted her on several occasions and emailed her the reference number for the refund so she could check with her bank. When she last called, she was screaming at the top of her lungs and we could not get a word in. This morning [redacted] called her to make sure she got the reference number. She responded with she did and hung up on [redacted]. This is the first time we have had a complaint and we did everything in our power to fix the situation.
