Gallery Cleaners

Review: I attempted to have my boots re-soled. They are high quality, [redacted] Leather Boots, so I wanted to hold on to them for another year or so (they are three years old). I have taken the boots to Gallery Cleaners to have them re-heeled before and they did a good job. On December 27, 2014, I brought them in for the service of re-soling the boots. They re-soled and re-heeled the boots and returned them to me on December 31, 2014. They didn't need to be re-heeled, but I paid the $58.50, even though the heels were fine. Approximately 10 days letter, the soles began to crack. I brought them in and asked them re-do the boots. They performed the service and returned them within a week. This time, there was glue on the boots that I had to clean off. Again, about 10 days later, the soles were cracking. I returned and I was furious. I told them I wanted my money refunded, the job done correctly, or they could pay $300.00 for my boots, since they were ruined. We agreed they would re-do the job. I received them on February 7, 2014. I wore them all day yesterday and they are cracking again! The owners were very combative the last time, but again, I told them there would not be a next time and I would file a complaint to the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I would like $58.50 refunded to my credit card and I want this record to stand. The owners need to understand they cannot do shoddy work and expect to be compensated when the customers they service are dissatisfied. They continue to defend the individual who does the work and say they have worked with him for 10 years and there has never been a problem. I sincerely doubt that.
