Hi. I am getting married in a week (Saturday, July 26th). Today I received a call from the building manager of the Galaxy of Sports informing me that my wedding reception cannot be held in the venue because the air conditioner system went out last night (Tuesday, July 15). Alternatives were not provided and I felt completely disregarded as it relates to my special day. Shouldn't the building manager be required to seek alternatives (simply fix the air conditioner OR rent portable air conditioners)? This is a wedding reception, not a casual gathering. Additionally, my invitations have gone out to all guests and everyone has this address. Please advise. This is my special day. There is no way that I should be going through this at this time, 1 week away from my wedding. How thoughtless and inconsiderate....and UNPROFESSIONAL!NOTE:My cousin [redacted] called [redacted] & [redacted] located at [redacted] NC XXXXX. Phone number: XXX-XXX-XXXX. She spoke with Mr. [redacted] who informed her that he was serviced Galaxy of Sports air conditioner (one of them) this same time last year. He then asked my cousin, "Do they rather not fix the air conditioner unit?" My cousin was in agreement with Mr. [redacted] question, as it seems to be one of the best solutions instead of informing the bride that she CANNOT have her wedding reception at the venue she has planned for months!! My cousin inquired about portable air conditioning units and was informed of two: 1. [redacted] and 2. [redacted] both of these companies provide air conditioning rentals. Rentals should have also been an option instead of CANCELLATION! How unprofessional can a business, managers, decision makers, and business owners be? This is simply unacceptable behavior. They should be embarrassed to consider themselves a business. As true business owners care about their clients / customers.Desired SettlementI desire a public apology. I desire additional payment for undue stress that this has caused me. I recommend they (Galaxy of Sports) rearrange the roles of their managers / leaders / decision makers and provide them with a role that is more suitable because dealing with customers / clients is obviously not one of them. Along with what I have provide, any additionals will be strongly recommended and encouraged.Business Response [redacted] with Galaxy of Sports Inc. called and said she has nothing to do with Galaxy of Sports. Gallery of Sports, Inc. is a payroll company. The consumer will need to file against the correct business.
