Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I disagree with MrR***' assessment, in part, because one of the managers to whom I spoke said that, in respect of future deliveries, a credit card would be required in order for such transactions to be completed She said that it was conveyed to her that the business did not want continue the practice of my leaving cash in order for meals to be delivered at my residence. When I asked her why this policy change had occurred, she said that there was "an issue" a few months ago She said that the driver came and found that there was no answer I told her that I had waited for the driver and that the only time the driver came was when I waved to him and when seconds later he drove away Whether the driver saw me wave is not matter, but I did stand at the door and wave to him just before he drove away.In addition, I explained to her that when I called the business the night of the incident--within minutes after the delivery person drove away--the person who answered the phone at the business said that the reason for the difficulty I had experienced likely was likely because the driver was new and/or that the driver lacked knowledge of some of the streets and the like. Thus, in my opinion, I was provided two seemingly contradictory explanations One explanation seemed to suggest that the driver left because "no one answered the door", while the initial explanation suggested that the reason the driver drove away was because the driver lacked some experience with respect to the neighborhood, etc.The night of the incident was one of the few times when I had told the person taking the order over the phone that I would meet the driver; on some occasions, I did deviate from form by meeting the delivery person at the front entranceWhether MrR [redacted] finds my usual practice of leaving the cash and tip in an envelope without my meeting the driver is not for me to confirm or to verify Nor should one remark about how common such a request is, provided the business is paid in full for its services However, MrR [redacted] should understand that I have made that request at various times because I am concerned about persons coming to my house in the evening and because often I do not feel well enough to meet someone at the door I should not have to feel embarrassed because he finds my request "unusual" It should be understand that there are times when customers have special needs. In addition, MrR [redacted] should know that my mother and I called his business a number of times in the past few weeks asking to speak to this gentleman during business hours; however, each time either she or I called, we were told that he was unavailable. Therefore, before sending this complaint to the Revdex.com, we made a sincere effort to communicate with him, during which times he could have repeated some of the items he mentioned in his response to the Revdex.com, where possible solutions are concerned. In reply to him, regardless of whatever arrangement he has in mind, I have no intention ever of calling the business again I feel humiliated by the way I was treated; I have no difficulty obtaining alternative meals.Sincerely, [redacted] ***P.SI would ask that MrR [redacted] no reply further, as I have no desire to communicate with him further For my part, this matter is, or it should be, at a close

I received your letter regarding the complaint by *** St***We have deliverednumerous times to Mr*** without incidentHe has stated that he doesn't like corning to thedoor, so we accommodate his request to leave the pizza and pick up the envelope with the moneyMr.*** is usually adamant about us not knocking on his doorI will certainly apologize to Mr*** for any inconvenience this incident may have caused him.Additionally, I have five delivery drivers on staff that change periodicallyThis can causeconfusion when one driver does not get a new request that Mr*** has put inAn example wouldbe the appeal for us not to knock on the doorWe have a solution to fix this by having a "Note" thatprints on each delivery ticket to his addressThis note will honor all of his requests to prevent mistakesin the futureThis certain incident the money was not there and my driver said he did knock on thedoor and no one answeredHe then drove away not seeing Mr*** wavingIf he had saw him hewould have definitely went back. The part of the complaint regarding us requiring a credit card is not exactly trueMy shiftmanager that evening did talk to Mr*** and mentioned it might be a good idea to have a creditcard on file in case this circumstance arises againWe will be more than happy to continue to respecthis demandsNonetheless, we can not leave the order without any payment, nor can my driver makenumerous trips back to his residence to retrieve money that may not be there. In the years I've owned this business, I have never had this type of requestHowever, let it beknown that even though I have the right to refuse service to Mr***, I have never done soEventhough I've had numerous opportunities, I continued to cater do what Mr*** asked, and plan todo so in the futureThis was an unfortunate incident and we will do our best to make sure it doesn'thappen again
Sincerely,Jon *R***

Hello
Apropos of our conversation, in order that this complaint will be made public, I am granting the business an opportunity to respond to my complaint
In terms of quantifying what I would like done, I would like the business to explain what, for me, is a discrepancy in their
explanations
I would like the business to explain what seem to be contradictory explanations regarding what was a change in policy (please note the change in policy I described in the online complaint form I have submitted to the Revdex.com)
In particular, a few months ago, after I called the business complaining that the delivery driver came and left without leaving his or her car and without making the delivery, a representative of the business said that the driver was new and/or that the driver was unfamiliar with the neighborhood, suggesting that it was the driver's "fault" for not making the delivery and that this incident happened through no fault of my own
When on another occasion I discussed the same incident with another employee of the restaurant, I was told that there was an "issue" such that the driver had come to my house a few times that night and that I did not answer or come to the door
To my knowledge and memory of that night, the one and only time the driver came was when I opened my front door and saw him or her driver away, even after I had waved to the driver indicating my presence and willingness to accept and pay for delivery
I would like the business to explain why it has given me two different explanations
I would like to the business to understand that I regard the version of there being an "issue", that is, that I did not come to the door when the driver attempted to make a delivery at my door to be slander; I would like the business to understand that this upsetting to me
I regard their second explanation (not the initial explanation given to me when I had cancelled the order after I saw the driver drive away without making the delivery) to amount to a besmirching of my name and reputation
It should also be noted that although I attempted to speak to the owner by phone (an employee had said he would be there at various times this week), for whatever reason, the owner did not come to the phone or was unavailable
Whether the business responds, I would like this complaint to be public; I would like other people to know that I experienced this type of service and that I feel humiliated
