Sold me a certified pre-owned car that had obviously been in an accident and they lied about it
On Nov 14th I bought a CPO car from Galpin FordThey said the cat was never in an accidentThey had reports stating that it had never been wreckedIt the photos there was blue tape on both back windows which they use to hole a new window in while the adhesive drysThe next day I noticed overspray on the windshieldSome one had tried to scrape I off but did a poor jobWhen I turned right very slowly there was a rubbing soundI took the car to my local dealer to have it inspected and he showed me all of the indicators where th whole front end was taken apartThere was also an area of frame mis-alignment, this might be a safety issueAll of the bolts under the hood have been removedThe salesman told me that it might be because they had to get to something, which is a lie because the Ford Flex limited only has 10k miles on itSo I said is it a lemon then? He just shook his head and told me again that the car was never wreckedI took the car back right awayI wasn't going to pay $40k for a wrecked carThe car pulled to the left a highway speeds as wellThe car is back up on the website for $39k for a car that has been wreckedI didn't think you could certify a car that had been in an accidentThere are new pics on line without the blue tape and I bet some of the other things that I pointed out are fixed as wellI just don't think they should be able to get away with the fraudulent selling off that carThis was not the first issue I've had with this dealerI told myself I wouldn't go back, but they had the car I wantedNow I've had to settle for a lesser vehicleMy sales rep was named AboudSince they got caught they apologized and tried to buy me off with a couple of free oil changesSaid they didn't do it on purposeWhat a bunch of manureGo Galpin, yeah right!
