Galvan and Gardner does not practice customer-friendly business relationsDuring my move in, I called to company to request the house be cleaned, as it was filthyThey told me the homeowner does the cleaning himself and they had it recorded as cleanedI told them a list of things that were not remotely clean (including a dead mouse stuck to the bottom of the refrigerator wheel and a back yard full of cigarette butts that weren't visible when I looked at the place due to snow, among many other things)They stated they would call the home owner and call me backI never received a call, so I cleaned the place myselfAfter moving out, I emailed them days later to ask about my deposit refund They told me they have 30-days to refund my deposit days came and went and I did not receive the checkI was out of town most of the period from the 60-day mark, so when I returned home I fully expected to have the refund waiting on me No such luckI emailed them to ask about it and they informed me it was sent out months ago, which would be right around the time I had inquired about it No phone call or email letting me know it was on the way even though I had just called to ask about it within days of them mailing it outThey then stated it was valid for days, so I could "wait out the days to see if it shows up within the next month" or they can charge me a $cancellation fee and send me a new checkAs a business, I would think they would send a certified check that requires signature, given the amount of the check At a minimum, they should cover the check cancellation fee since they COULD have made a mistake addressing it or delivering it to the post officeI have no way of being at fault in the check not getting to me They responded that they "have nothing to do with the postal services and am not sure as to why the disposition never made it" to me Certainly they have nothing to do with the post office delivery, but they could have chosen to send such a large check in a more secure manner than general mail with no delivery confirmation or signature required
I wonder if they'll refund my full deposit since I left the place much, much cleaner than when I moved inI guess I'll find outif the check ever makes it to me
Problems from start to finish with this Business

I would not recommend this company. Galvan and Gardener let people in our home without any notice, during my families move out period. Our home was robbed not once but twice by the same company Galvin and Gardener hired and gave the lock box code to. My family did receive some of our belongings back, but not all of them. Over $10,000 worth of our valuables were not returned. Due to this incident we were unable to take any more time off of work to deep clean, or fix everything. Instead of being a company who was willing to see that this whole robbery was their fault and apologize, they turn around and charge my family $600+ over our $1475 deposit.

I just wanted to say Galvan and Gardner has been great to work with. I own a heating & air conditioning company, and have been working with them for about two years. We don't work with many property management company's, because most of them wont pay to have things fixed properly. Galvan and Gardner is very concerned about their tenants safety and welfare.They respond very quickly to any problems concerning heating and plumbing. Its nice to work with a company that does such a nice job, taking care of their tenants, property owners, and vendors.
