Hi,My name is [redacted]. The reason I am writing this letter to make a complaint on the service I had at Ganley Bmw dealership in Middleburg heights. The dealer name again is:Ganley BMW6976 Pearl Rd, Middleburg Heights, OH 44130I have a 2000 BMW 323ci Coupe with 143K miles on it. I took it to Ganley for inspection and told them if the car has no big issues, I would like to fix it as long as the repairs needed dont go over $2,000. The car is old and not worth a lot of money. The service advisor told me about the issues with the car and said that they will fix the control arm bushings, rear trailings, Crankcase, replace belts, replace sway bar link and do wheels alignment. He said that will cost me $2,100 and I can drive the car with two years with no issues. I approved the repairs. My car stayed at the shop for about 4 weeks. They called me after four weeks claiming that the master cylinder needs to be replaced, the car needs new caliper, new tie rods and that will cost me another $1,200. I had no choice but to approve the repairs because the dealer already fixed the previous issues and the car is not drivable. They called my after 3 weeks saying that my car is ready. My total invoice was $3,299.03. Invoice number is 88868. I went to pick my car up, the DSC light is on, the brakes light is on, the coolant light is on, and the windshield fluid light is on. I told the service advisor about those lights and he said those are no big deal, and told me to drive the car for two weeks and if the lights are still on, to come back. I drove for less than half mile just to find out that the dealer stole my radar detector. I called them right away and told them. I kept driving the car for a week and the car wasnt driving well and all lights still on. I took the car back and spoke to the general manager Adam Moon who told me to keep the car at the dealer because they will look at the issues. This is not acceptable, I already spent $3,299 on it, and I shouldnt have those issues with the car, because the car was inspected and I got the car back with more issues in it. I left the car at the dealership and left. The service advisor called me in few days to let me know that the reason the DSC light is on because the technician didnt completely install the master cylinder. (This is not acceptable). The service director Bill called me stating that the car doesnt drive well because it needs new radiator and new alternator. Again I shouldnt have those issues because the car was inspected and repaired. They went ahead and fixed those issues along with the coolant light and the windshield light. They charged me $434 (invoice number [redacted]) and said that they will order a new radar detector to replace the old one that they stole. They called me and said that the car is ready, I went to pick the car up, and the same day at night, the service engine light and windshield fluid light and the coolant light came up on the dashboard. I called them and asked me to bring the car again, they went ahead and inspected the car and said that the car needs new thermostat and pump fluid and thats why the service engine and windshield fluid lights are on and the cost is $218. This is unbelievable, they already fixed the windshield fluid light and I shouldnt have those issues because they are the ones who inspected the car and charged me $3,299+$434. I wont fix those issues anymore with this dealer. The service director and the general manager are unprofessional and untrustworthy and all what they cared about is to charge me more money for the issues that I didnt have and for the issues that they were responsible of. This is ridiculous and out of control. The service advisor was on my side and said this is shouldnt be happening. I always dealt with this dealer and most of my family leases their BMWs from Ganley. No one is believing what happened with me at this dealer. This is unbelievable and I havent experienced something like this before, and if nothing will be done in this case in the next few days, I will go ahead and and make a claim with the Revdex.com. I still didnt get the radar detector and the service engine light and windshield fluid are still on my car after I have spent $3,800 on it and lost my radar detector. I wont go back to this dealer. I work in corporate communications at a hospital in Cleveland and I will go ahead and publish an article about this dealer in the weekly news. You can reach me at [redacted].Thanks[redacted]
