Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, I notice they never stated a bill was sent to me for my broken appointment. The message I left for his office concerned my collections notice only and nothing to do with my husbands, so why couldn’t they call me back to explain what it was for since as I said they never billed me only sent me to collections which my husband never told them to send me to collections because when he was dealing with his own situation I had never received a bill for myself. I am also attaching the 1 & only bill we received for my husband which as you can see there’s no mention of collections on it. Also, the billing amounts, collection amounts, and the amount my insurance company show do not match up, not one matches the other...can that be explained? I also notice my insurance company states my husband is responsible to pay $159 after they paid their portion so why was collections for $284??
Regards,

To whom it may concern:I am addressing our 1st complaint in 20 years of serving the community. The customer who wrote the letter is speaking on behalf of her husband also. I will cover his history first. He presented in office in 2014 stating he had a broken tooth. We accommodated his schedule and...

repaired the tooth adequately. He was then given thorough explanation that the tooth would require a crown in the near future. This patient did not contact our office again until the 2016. He stated that the tooth had broken and needed repaired. He was counseled at that time again on the need for a crown and he refused the recommended course of treatment. I billed his insurance and the portion he was responsible for was billed to the address on file. I sent out several statements with no response until the last bill. This billed stated there was a future possibility of collections. I did receive a phone call from her husband and he stated the tooth was "Too tall and Dr. Ganser should be responsible for his mistake". Dr. Ganser backs up all of his work. Unfortunately, we never received any complaints over the 2 year span of the tooth being "too tall" from this patient. Dr. Ganser is also extremely thorough when going over any future treatment needs. We try to work with all of our patients financially and only use collections as a last resort. This patient specifically said he was not going to pay and instructed me to send him to collections. The reason his wife was sent also is because there was a balance on her account from broken appointment fees. We cannot run a business productively and keep our costs low for all of our clients if we have last minute broken appointments. This is clearly stated on our office policy that every patient in the practice signs. As far as the reason for not returning her phone call, the account was already sent to collections per the husband's request. Once the account is placed, the collection company takes over everything to do with the account and clients. I hope this sheds some light on the background to this complaint.
