Garabar Inc. rescued us from a bad situation. Our insurance company was going to drop us, and it was just shortly before the Christmas holiday. It was difficult to find a reliable roofing company right before the holiday. We checked out several, and they did not appear reliable, as they did not return phone calls and slow at giving us estimates. They were not sure if they could get to the job before our deadline. Garabar Inc. phoned us quickly back, and were quick on giving us an estimate. They were sure that they could get the job done before the deadline and before Christmas. The roofing job was a complete tear off of old roof including beams and top boards as they were rotted out. The roof looks sharp and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The job site was clean free of trash and workers did not damage any of the property. The office staff are friendly, respectful and very professional. I would recommend this company for your roofing needs and will use them again.
After initial call a representative called me the following day and set up an appointment for Saturday, yes a Saturday. Tom came out looked at the roof, climbed up on the roof, measured and wrote out the contact. Signed and sealed that day. Several days later I was contacted by the painter Alex who requested my paint color as per my HOA agreement. The follow week workers came on on one day and removed all the rotten fascia, hauled it away and returned the following day to replace it. Several days later (weather issues) the painter came out and painted all fascia boards to match and cleaned up leaving no mess on any of the floral arrangements located around the house. After several days I did notice there was an area located in the front above the garage that seemed to be missing some mud on the tiles. After I writing an e-mail asking someone to come out and take a look a repairman came out the next day and redid the area in question to match the rest of the front house tiles.
Read before they this review removed. Terrible experience. This company is a joke. Started having problems just a week after repairs to the roof were "completed." Had to wait a week for someone from Garabar to come out and take care of something that was supposed to be done right the first time around. Waiting for them set back the contractor that was to fix all the water damage to the interior of the house costing me extra money and time. Only three months later an independent inspection company performed a roof inspection. The inspection findings included two active leaks on the roof that Garabar roofing supposedly fixed and charged for. I called asking for someone to come out to check it out under their TWO YEAR LEAK WARRANTY. [redacted]'s answer was that they did not perform work in that area of the roof and therefore the warranty did not apply. I sent pictures and the copy of the invoice where it showed the work did take place in that area. [redacted] acknowledged Garabar did perform work there after the evidence was presented. [redacted] later stated Garabar would honor the warranty and have someone perform the repair within a couple of days. No one from Garabar called me back to schedule the repairs. I called [redacted] after a couple of days and he stated the office manager did not schedule a crew. And that's where the fun begins. Was told by the office manager that the ** (Garabar's owner) is not around very often and he is the only one that is capable of making a decision in my case. Waited for more than two weeks for an answer (following up every other day) but got extremely tired of the games and excuses. Every time I called I was asked to leave a message and no one would call back. At the end I had to hire another roofing company to perform the work after the negligence and bad business practice by Garabar Inc. Beware [redacted] and [redacted] play games with customers and will not take responsibility once they cash your check.
Garabar did a great job. The workers were professional and careful, and they cleaned up nicely after the job was complete. Nothing on our property was damaged or defaced during the week-long process. The roof itself is stellar in terms of its appearance and ostensibly solid and meticulous in terms of workmanship. All leaks are gone, and we're very happy with the way it all turned out. We'd recommend Garabar to anyone.
