Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to meI do, however, disagree with Marc's summary of events, as he has again misrepresented the events that have taken placeThe floor issue was not voluntarily settled by Marc, nor was the floor cost reduction taken off my Marc voluntarilyThat happened after discussion of his misrepresentation that he agreed to reduce part of the costAlso, with regard to the paint, I signed the paper while the paint was drying, after being told that some of the paint had already dried faster than other partsAs it turns out the dried paint was not in fact new paint, and the wet paint was the only paint applied that dayTherefore, the paint is different textures and colors, which I would not have known had the paint dried before I inspected it.I will accept Marc's refund check as the final resolution to this issueNo further communication is necessary

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
In response to the owner, [redacted]'s, comments and very inaccurate and misinformed information. I called [redacted] Warranty immediately after [redacted] (the service tech) left my house to inform them of the situation.  Yes, I was upset while [redacted] was here due to him being impaired. I had every intention of paying to replace my garage door so that the opener could be replaced and I understood my contract as I have read it. However, I was not going to allow Garage Door Experts, LLC to do the repairs UNTIL I spoke with [redacted] the owner and he assure me that he would do everything in his power to make this right. He also lied about giving [redacted] a drug test because per him, [redacted] was on vacation that week (we spoke on a Tuesday) and he was going to speak with him the following Monday. I do take fault in the fact that I should have called the cops. [redacted] Warranty has refunded my $100 deductible that I had paid to Garage Door Experts, LLC AS WELL as waived the $100 deductible to have another company come out and give us an estimate. The company came out 2 days later and had our garage door fixed within 5 minutes. They were able to replace the "Screw Gear" in the actual housing component of the garage opener. The part costs about $50 in which I DID NOT have to pay. Also, in response to [redacted] saying I wanted him to personally come to my house is false. He offered to come to my house so we could make this right AND he offered to give 30% discount in which I DID NOT ask for. I didn't want a discount. I wanted my garage door to be repaired by someone who wasn't impaired. [redacted] (service tech) could not even find the button on our wall to the opener, when I told him where it was, he proceeded to push the "light bulb" button. Anyway, this is done and over with, our garage door is fixed. I don't want anything from Garage Door Experts, LLC except to ensure no one is taken advantage of like I ALMOST was. I hope that the owner takes some training classes on how to take care of customers and make sure their employees are not impaired while on the job and better yet, while on the road. To the Revdex.com, I hope that you list all of my comments as well as the owner's comments so that the public can see how awful this company is and how inaccurate his information was.  Thank you for your time with this matter.
[redacted]

My name is [redacted].Owner of GDE..I have to start by saying.Mrs [redacted] as well as garage door experts is under contract by [redacted] home services.Customer makes a claim to [redacted])per their contract if they are having issues with garage opener only.Once claim is made by homeowner.[redacted]...

assigns a company fit to handle said issue.Which in her case she had garage door issues. So we were assigned to come and attempt to fix as in any claim.a [redacted] was the technician that day to rUn her call.Once there.[redacted] diagnosed the issue which was the garage DOOR rather than the opener.[redacted] ONLY covers the opener not the door.[redacted] at that point explained to [redacted] that her door would have to be replaced before [redacted] would cover the opener.Which under her contract with [redacted].It's states clearly that we can't touch or replace opener if the door is the problem.[redacted] contract states that they only cover the opener. This was a surprise to Mrs [redacted] apparently.[redacted] had called me at that point and I quoted her a new door per her contract.I then stated we would have to collect her $100 deductible as usual per any [redacted] claim as it's in our contract that we collect these deductibles no matter what we do or don't do once we are on the jobsite. This is also in her contract.I also explained to Mrs [redacted] that we eould be so kind to apply her 100.00 towards any and all repairs once she spoke to her husband and decided what door she would like at that time.[redacted] stated to me after he left her house that eve that she didn't seem to happy.A few days later I receive a csll from [redacted] manager saying Mrs [redacted] called them and ended her conversation that [redacted] was all of a sudden drunk and wreaked of alcohol at her reddened that eve.I spent about hour on phone with [redacted] manager. While she explained to me that she had explained to Mrs [redacted] how her door is not under any insurance and would be out of pocket on her end per her contract.Mrs [redacted] was angry at that point and went on to say how she was being messed over and that [redacted] had been drunk on the job.She wanted her $100 back. But per her and garage door experts contract we collect dedy tile whether we repair or not.Once this was an arguement.Mrs [redacted] wanted me personally to come to her house to talk things over.I advised [redacted] at that time what she wanted me to do.[redacted] at that point pulled our company from her claim because of the outlandish claim of our technician drunk on the jobsite. Is was nor our decision at that point. We done everything that we should've done and plus some per her and our contract.[redacted] decided knowing us and our GREAT reputation that if Mrs [redacted] was making claims of our tech being drunk on the job that we shouldn't go there anymore in case of any other claims she may put on us.And to protect us [redacted] cancelled her claim.Mrs [redacted] didn't say anything about our technician being drunk till she re[redacted]zed [redacted] wasn't going to cover her new door expense.I asked Mrs [redacted] why she didn't call police that evening. Her redone was that she didn't want her kids to see someone being arrested.I then asked why would you not call our office immediatly as I or anyone probably wouldve. Her response was I Quote.I didn't want to get [redacted] fired.I immediatly sent [redacted] for drug and alcohol test next morning which he passed as I sudpected. All the techs are tested randomly anyhow. But I've personally known [redacted] for 4-5 yrs and I knew for a fact where Mrs [redacted] was headed when she told me [redacted] was drunk.I believed she had her own agenda for coming up with such a story. As I said.I've known [redacted] for many years and he is the most str as ight arrow fella you can imagine. And yes some of our vehicles are unmarked for simple reason of us doing sub contract work for companies that don't want us pulling into their customers driveways with our company name. They give us magnets to put on our vehicles to represent them. All in all.Mrs [redacted] I believe should've called our office immediatly as anyone would've if a tech showed up at your house literally drunk.I believe story was hatched only after Mrs [redacted] re[redacted]zed we were right and she had to pay out of pocket per her contract.Only then did she finally come out and saying [redacted] was drunk on the job. There is nothing further we can do for her. After this wild story we were unwillingly pulled from her job claim yo kerp any other issues coming about. We are a very well liked and reputable company for [redacted] and many other companies like them.I've had few isdues in past here and there like any service company which we have always done whatever it took to make the customer happy. This claim is so outragious that we were literally pulled from her claim.I'm sorry Mrs [redacted] had to fIND out through us how here warranty works. But I must say.As always we filled all procedures and protocol to help her until she made claims of our tech being drunk on her job.If in fact she didn't do so.She would've re[redacted]zed like all our customers. That we would've done what ever it took to get her door and at a fantastic price. We would've called [redacted] to see any and all possibilities there were to make her issue affordable as we always do in these situations. One thing is the 1 technician she picked to be drunk on the job is the one that we consider and call hI'm a ssint.[redacted] is one the best people I've encountered in this business. He is very good at what he does and a all around great person.I'm sad we couldn't work this out and she had to go that far hoping to get her door covered.I truly believe this is how it all came to be.Last thing:Mrs [redacted] and I did talk and I did agree to come to her house after all this first hsppened. But by then [redacted] had pulled us away from her claim and refused to send another company. It was no way our fsult. We have worked for [redacted] for dome time. They are our customer. We do as they allow us per our contract. If they say we can't go back to a particular job then we dont.Anyhow,I hope that Mrs [redacted] has had a little time to think about the situation. And I hope she can understand the issues that these actions and words have caused certain people.I'm sorry to be so blunt but no way in the world that our technician [redacted] was drunk on the job and that if someone did show up at my house drunk. There's no way I'd be worred about there job situation.I would've immediatly called the police in hopes they didn't crash or kill someone once they left my house.Especially since her husband is ohio state trooper. If at worst I would've immediatly called there office to get them out of there.Agsin I apologize to be so blunt, but Mrs [redacted] said herself she didn't call police right then because she didn't want her kids to see someone get arrested. It would be just as bad if our tech was in fact drunk and stumbling around with her kids seeing that. But again, not mention of drunkenness was discussed till after she followed up with [redacted] and learned her door was not covered and her deductible has to be paid upon us arriving whether we can or cannot do the job.Just the same with tec h s under [redacted] for her ac,mictowave, refrigerstor, washer, dryer etc.I hope I've explained this in enough detail to makE a clear enough picture of how this all started and how we got to here.Thank you.Sincerely,[redacted]
