From their user friendly website, to the ordering process, all the way through to the installation our garage doors, Garage Door Services is hands down the best and most responsive garage door company in the Omaha area! I am in the construction business so I know all about getting multiple quotes for a project There was no pressure during the decision making phase of our project! They were professional, courteous, and timely They did not over-promise or oversell! GDS totally took the fear out of buying new garage doors! I will certainly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a garage door repair or a completely new garage door!

Garage Door Services was called to replace garage door springsTechnician arrived and quoted a price that was times the ballpark cost provided by phoneWhen challenged he lowered the price still about double the ballpark costI later learned this was well above typical quotes from other companiesTechnician also noted that bearings should be replaced and provided a quoteWhen challenged that price was lowered as well again later learned that the price was very high in comparisonAt completion of work technician indicated that garage door opener no longer worked and that he could provide a new one for When asked why it didn39t work he didn39t knowI declined and sent him on his way.At this point I contacted a different service companyTechnician indicated that there was no issue with garage door opener and that it had probably overheated from overuse which happens when raised and lowered multiple times in short time frameRemedy is to wai

This company is not honest, and they don't do what they say, and show on their web. They contact you with their dispatcher number from Texas at [redacted] which doesn't work. They charged me $89.00 without giving the service. I feel this company has a bogus web site and none working contact e-mail. They haven't even registered in Revdex.com. Here is what happened to me.
I called this company today July 14/2015 in the morning hours to request service to replace a broken garage door spring . I told them I need to replace only one and they gave a price range that starts from $89 (from their web) to $150. They also have an add online that shows what they say. I asked them if they can come today, they said yes. I was told they will be at my home between 4 pm to 5 pm. The technician arrived late -10 minutes past 7 pm, and he suggested to change both. I said I need only one, and he said he can't give me a warranty for one. Then I asked him how much is then for two. He came up with $392.00 plus tax. Then I said I don't need the service , I was not told that I don't get warranty for one spring change, and I was aware of paying with the discount about $155 plus tax. Then the technician also he is saying he is the manager, asked me to pay $89.00 if I don't want the service. I feel many people are cheated and paid too much than the actual service cost. They should be monitored and advised to do acceptable business exercise.

I called this company yesterday after finding them on the internet under Quality Garage Doors. They came out today and installed a new garage door which at this time seems satisfactory. I found it disconcerting that the installer did not leave us with a receipt, which was later sent to us by email. I noticed that the name of the company on the receipt says Fox Overhead Garage Doors, LLC, so I went back to the web site and found four different names on that one page; Columbus Choice Overhead Garage Door co., Columbus-Overhead Garage Door Repair & Service, Garage Doors Columbus and Neighborhood Garage Door Service Columbus. I'm not necessarily filing this as a complaint but as a matter of concern.

Very rude staff! I was told they can come out for a free estimate and then they said after they looked at it that will be $89. I told the service repair person what I was told and called the office manager (who was not the same person as earlier at this point) and am then told to give the repair person $39. I ended up getting it down to $19 which I gave the service repair person a $20 and got no change or receipt back. The service repair person took my garage door apart and left it that way with parts everywhere. When the service repair person came the garage door was locked, secure and in one piece. When the service repair person left it was unlocked and unable to lock and secure with parts all over. The service repair person said I needed a new unit instead of fixing the unit with a $10 part which I already new it needed. They wanted $419 to put in a new unit? I asked them to just fix what I knew was wrong with it from the beginning and he said the part alone is $174 but it is $10 all day long on line. The part was a limit switch that controls where the garage door stops. They said labor was also $174. Do not trust these people, be very aware of there strong arm tactics. What they did should be criminal. It took me 45 minutes to undo the damage the service repair person did to get the door to secure and lock again. I should call the Attorney Generals office but it is just not worth anymore of my time for the lose of $20 and 45 minutes of putting everything back together and getting the door to lock. I just want everyone to know my story. I can see this not going the same for others and getting ripped off and or worse in a unsafe situation with a door not secured and left wide open when it is snowing and below zero.

This is the second time in 3 weeks we have had to call this company out for service, I was very impressed the first time we called to have a spring replaced, and yesterday when I called because our cable on the one side broke and the door was off track & won't close they were very helpful and said because we were returning customers they would work with us and our budget & have someone out between 4-7. Well at 5:50 they called to say our technician would be there very shortly @6:30 I called back because I had no one there and no call and they said they couldn't locate their person would call me back, @7 I called again to find out what was going on. Now mind you we can't close our garage, I keep calling to find out what is going on & each time the dispatcher keeps saying they don't know where their repairman is & they don't know what to do, it is now past 8pm, & the time is ticking on at 10pm someone knocks at our door and he is here to fix the door (he drove 1 1/2 hours away the night before Thanksgiving). Because of our inconvenience of the waiting and me having to keep calling to find out where our repairman was since no one was returning my calls, plus they said they would work with my budget they ended up charging me more than double it cost to replace the spring the first time they were here. Great! Happy Thanksgiving to us!!! Well I hope they find it in their hearts to credit us for the inconvenience that myself & my family had to spend the night before the holiday doing nothing but sit and wait & wait we couldn't go out enjoy the evening because their tech didn't come at 4-7 so I had to change all evening plans welcome home for the holidays kids! Not to mention the poor tech. Who had to drive up here from Dayton to do the repair and was an awesome man to do it, however after being here until 12:30 am he didn't repair the work done completely and now we have to call out a handyman to complete the work after spending $504.98! Lovely! I have called this company back 2 more times for them to makes things right and refund us our money for 1 for us having to sit for 5 hours and wait & wait not I had to take my time to keep calling to find out what was going on and be put out until 1AM the night before a holiday and not even getting the work completed. 2. The company not "working" with customers to be within their budget or do the work completely done and not leave it not in non working condition... and still charging us this outrageous amount. We will not be using or calling them again and I hope they will find it in their hearts to make things right and refund us our money if they are a real trustworthy company , we put out trust in you! thank you !

Review: I purchased a garage door springs and rollers from GDS in 2 years ago. Upon arriving home tonight the door w0uld not close and I called my warranty service for assistance. This service was not covered. I found my invoice from GDS and reached out to the company. I initially spoke with Customer Service Rep, [redacted], who informed me that the service fee would be $89.00. I had to clear the line because to contact another company I had called first to cancel that service call. I called GDS back at 9:30P (CST) and asked to speak to [redacted]. This female CSR indicated that he was "on another call". I waited and [redacted] came to the line approximately 2 minutes later. I indicated to him that I had initially spoken with [redacted]. He sated that he was handling the call and it was unlikely that he could find a tech to come out at this hour. He stated he would "see what he could do." He came back on the line at 9:36P and asked if GDS had "installed the whole door or the opener and springs." I informed him that it ws the latter. He left the line again and returned at 9:38P. It was at this juncture that he informed me that the service call would be $129.00 after all. I informed him that I had spoken with [redacted] who quoted the call at $89. He stated that he had attempted to call me to inform me that the price had gone up and I ddin't answer the call. That is not the case, as my phone does not record a call from this company. At this juncture he informed me that he "was training [redacted]" and that he ([redacted]) "apolopize for the mistake" but "if you want your gararge door fixed you're going to have to pay $129.00. I pointed out to him that his employee's status was not my concern, as the consumer, and that I expected GDS to honor their quote of $89.00. At this point the became beligerant and downright rude....he told me that I could tell anybody I wanted, but the $129.00 had to be paid. I hung up.....Desired Settlement: [redacted], as a representative of GDS, presents this company in a very bad light. I was the victim of the "classic" bait and switch routine by this/these employees. He was rude, arrogant and down right officious in his tone of voice. I felt verbally abused by him and he did not have any inkling of integrity in the manner in which he handled my call.

I paid another reputable garage door company $175 to fix my garage door. I believe GDS should reimburse me for those charges based on their unscrupulous business practices.
