Review: I had problems with my garage door. This company came out and repaired. I have a 5 year warranty on the work done. Im experiencing same problem.

I have contacted the owner [redacted], who scheduled two appointments with me stating this was an easy fix and he would be out to repair, both times he had failed to show up to the scheduled appointments, and did not even bother to call to let me know. I have a garage door that is unoperable, I own three luxury vehicles parked outside. The owner no longer accepts my calls or returns my messages, as the work he needs to do he will not get paid for due to my warranty. Desired Settlement: I can pay an outside contractor to repair the spring, or he can come and make the repairs as he had promised. Either way, I need my garage door repaired asap. I had another company come out, and they stated there is a problem with the spring.

Initial Business Response

The government of California requieres a 1 year warranty on ANY type of labor. What he is refearing to is the warranty on the motor of the opener.

The 2 times the customer complains that we didn't show, he called while I was driving, we asked him to call back and leave a message, which he did, but unfortunatelly we could not make out the info he left.

The third time we gave him option times for us to show, he called in the evening, but he did not want to wait for the next day appointment. He just laughed. If the customer does not choose one of the option times we give is not our problem.

It is a lie that we do not answer his calls because 2 minutes after he did not choose an appointment time, his wife called to let us know she was going to make this complaint. We even assisted her confirming our business license number. We do not hide from our custmers, but sometimes there are people that do not want to cooperate in finding a solution. Because of their unwillingness to find a compromise they had to pay someone else for this.

Regarding the vehicles parked on the street, if he left them there was because he wanted, we guided him as to how to operate the door manually, and he did while we were on the phone. That is an unfair statement to make the situation look worse than it is.

I believe this person is being untruthful. How does he know what my problem is or what im reffering to if he never came back out to the home to see what the problem was? He also claimed that we were supposed to call him back, how did he diagnose this without even speaking to us? The two APPOINTMENTS (not phone calls, but actual scheduled apointments) were not kept, as this person did not show or bother calling to let us know he wasnt going to make it. Regarding him not making out what was left in the message, he was well aware he came to our house to provide a service, he had caller id on his cell phone all he had to do was return the call!!! (But since he has already robbed us of our money, on a repair that didnt even "repair" my problem, it was merely a temporary fix. We were given NO options, as this person did not return our calls or keep his promised appointments. In response to him providing us with his license number, that is also not true. Why call him and ask for that? Its clearly printed on the business card that was provided as a form of a receipt with his handwriting on the back. His solution of operating it manually doesnt work well for me either. Personally, I took the time to do some research online. And found similar complains on YELP regarding him collecting his money, and then not showing up when help was needed. He is robbing helpless people. Yelp shows another female who had the same problem. She got work done, had a warranty. Never had any of her calls returned when she needed help. Please investigate and review further. Also, I can provide copies of my cell phone records which clearly show dates/times of calls and length. So, in response to the story of "they called me when im driving" you can clearly see the lenghth of the conversation. Thank you.

We provided options for a time to come and solve the problem. Customer did not want to work with us. What else could we have done? Just show up?

A problem can be diagnosed over the phone. The lenght of the phone calls show we were helping him and we told him how to proceed in the mentime, we could not write info because we were driving. My number is a landline and it forwards my calls and just says forward call, that's why we do not screen calls and choose not to answer.

I never said we gave her our license number, she called and we confirmed that's our license.

If the customer was willing for us to help him he would have been willing to choose for a different time. We gave him options. If he still wants we are open to resolve the situation
