I read the complaint & certainly wish to respondI was in fact called by my tech, to advise that the wind caught his van door &
put a small scratch in Mr *** + year old carHe took a picture & I called the clientI left a message for himWhen I spoke to him next, as I explained to him, I had just come out of the hospital for surgery, but got the message that he was looking for meSo from a recovery bed on lots of medication, I calledI do feel a couple inch scratch for a 10+ year old vehicle to be repaired for over $is outragousAfter all we are not talking about a mint Ferrari hereHowever I FULLY AGREED to pay the body shop directly or pay him once it was repairedMr *** refused this & told me I was to pay him directly & it was up to him wether he wanted this fixed or not! I explained this was in my opinion unfairI will pay for the work to be done, but not just to sendan arbitrary checkIt is a 10+ year old car, so even if the $600.00+ was to fix other dings or dents in a car this age, that was his business not mineI agreed to pay & never argued thatHowever, I would pay the repair shop directly or him with a paid receipt showing the work has been doneI feel that is honest, honorable & the proper way to handle thisIf I just send him a check for $633.99, how do I know the repair ever gets done? Again it is a 10+ year old car after all
I want to be fair & reasonable & honor the request, but also want assurance that the vehicle is repaired. This is why I offered to pay the repair shop directly
This claim also has nothing to do with our products or services or repairsThe repair was done & that has not been any issueI just do not want to be taken advavntage of, as anyone else would, & have assurance that if I am paying for a repair to a vehicle, that is actually being repairedI will not question Mr *** motivesI am sure he is an honest manHowever, I have seen people take advantage of situations like this & pocket the moneyI only want assurance that he is getting what I am being asked to pay forI truly feel that is a reasonable thing to expect
I believe this is fair & reasonable & again offer to pay the shop directly for Mr *** scratch repair
Respectfully submitted

I asked if Garage Door Specialists could do the same thing they did on the first garage door. That included as noted in the statement from them, a keyless pad. They had looked at the paperwork covering what they did on that first door and agreed to match it.$was the price and they said they would hold to that price I called back asking what the cost would be for two rather than one addition door.I was quoted another $would be owed I then asked if a discount of $per door could apply if I said YES to two doors matching that first door. That was agreed to and I said I would have a check for the installer made out for the $600.To match what they did on the first door they would have to put in a keyless pad on each new door.Putting in one as described by her that works on both new doors would be accceptable if done with no charge to me.This would not be matching the original order but I it would satisfy me

If the customer wants to come pick up the keypad and install it himself, then I will not charge him the additional 20.00. Thanks[redacted]

To Whom It May Concern:Mr. [redacted] Called our shop in 2013 to have a garage door opener installed for 310.00 at that time he asked if he could get a keyless entry with this operator which is normally not included in this price. We agreed to throw in the keyless with the install. In Feb. 2015 we...

received a call from Mr. [redacted] inquiring about a 2nd operator to be installed in his garage. He wanted the same kind as we put in last time and no point did we discuss a keyless entry. This operator only comes with 2 remotes. He then called back and talked to the office gal and asked if he purchased yet another operator if we could give him a discount at that point she came into my office and asked if this could be possible. I then took the phone call over and told him yes we can install 2 operators and I will take 20.00 off the price, and he agreed,  again nothing was ever discussed about a keyless entry. We installed the operators and they paid with a check, the next day he called back and wanted to know where his keyless entrys were. I just happened to have taken that call and told him the keyless was not included with this operator. He became very anrgy with me and said oh yes you will put this in, I said we can for an extra 45.00. He then wanted to speak to the person he originally talked to so I had [redacted] call him back the next day. [redacted] explained to him again that the keyless was not included, Mr. [redacted] then proceeded to threaten the Company and said he would call the Police and the radio Station and tell them we are a fraudulent Company and not to purchase anything from here, he also said he would call the Revdex.com. Again he was told we can put the keyless  entry  in for an extra 45.00. I already gave him 20.00 off the 2 operators, I cannot give our products away for free when there is a cost involved to us. What I can do is have you pay full price for the operators so 310.00 each and throw in 1 keyless entry that can be programmed to both doors with 2 separate codes. that is the only option. Thanks[redacted] President

Review: GARAGE DOOR Opener with Keyless Key Pad was a job done by this company on one garage door.

On Feb 23, 2015 I called Garage Door Specialists asking them to look up the record of the job done for us.

They found the record and I asked how much I paid them, they said $310.00.

I asked if they could do the same thing they did before for that same amount of money.

They agreed that they could. The installation was then scheduled for Feb 25.

On Feb 24 I called them again asking how much would it be for a third door.

I was told another $310... I asked if they could discount the price to $300 per door to do two doors.

They agreed and I said I would give the installer a check for the agreed amount of $600.00.

I was away from the house when the installer informed my wife he was done and she gave him the check.

When I got home I noted that the keyless key pads were not installed yet so I called asking when that would be done.

I was informed that I would have to pay more if I wanted those pads installed.

I refused to pay more because the agreed price was $600 for two installed systems matching what they did before.

I was told they would not do the pad installations like they had done on the first door unless I paid more.

They agreed to match what was on their records from the first door which included a key pad but want more money.Desired Settlement: Install the two key pads still owed to us.

Review: Garage door buckling on the left side in several location during the Winter. Owner [redacted] claims that the bucking was caused by a vehicle hitting the door. Photos have been taken during the Winter and the Spring. The photos show how some of the buckling has disappeared as the temperature rises.

My insurance agent has been involved for several months now trying to work with the owner of the business. She has not return his phone calls

I contacted the owner and asked her to come to the house so she could see for herself how some of the buckling was disappearing. To this day I am still waiting.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome is a complete repair/replacement of the garage door at no cost as covered by the warranty.

Response:

We did receive a phone call from [redacted] on January 6, 2014, he said his door was delaminating. The door was installed in July 2012. I sent my technician to his house and the determination was the door had been let down on something, after further inspection there was a car parked near the garage door and the bumper height was exactly where the marks on the door were. I tried to explain this to him and we took pictures and sent it to the company where the Door was purchased from (CHI) They also determined the door had been hit so I told [redacted] to call his insurance company, the Insurance Company then contacted me and asked how much to replace the sections with Windows, I told them 1,845.00 or I had the original door we had installed for him that had 2 little scratches on it and he wanted it replaced instead of us repairing it. These sections have been repaired and can be installed for 1,200.00. He still insists the door should be under warranty but it is not when it has been hit. The Insurance agent has not called me since I talked to him back in the winter time. I am here everyday and I would have know had he called. And I have not heard back from [redacted] either, the paper work is still hanging on the not done board waiting to see what he is going to do.
