August 5, [redacted] Revdex.comP.OBox 1000Dupont, WA ? 98327Re: ? Revdex.com Complaint ID # [redacted] Dear Mr***,This is a letter in response to the correspondence I received at my place of business, Garbo's Vintage Wear- Astoria, Oregon, on 7/31/2017.I was contacted by [redacted] *the beginning of July She and her husband had been in my vintage clothing resale shop? Her husband had tried on some Levi Strauss Denim JacketsShe wanted to purchase one over the phone for his upcoming birthday? I sent her photos and she determined which jacket she wanted me to send herI told her the item price was $70, and estimated the shipping to be between $15-$20; so, I told her $for shipping and handlingWe agreed to make the total price, with shipping, $I took her credit card number and charged her card over the phone, which is an extra processing expense to me, the merchant? Promptly sending off the package, I realized I had overestimated the shipping costBecause she had mentioned a birthday, I purchased a birthday card to include with the package. She received the item, called to ask about the discrepancy in shipping cost, and asked if I had noticed any stains on the itemI explained that I had included the greeting card with the package to make up for the difference, and as a 'Thank You' for her businessThere was one light stain where one of the metal buttons was, but when buttoned it was not noticeableShe said she had noticed some slight stains on the sleeveI had not noticed this prior to posting, nor were there any stains visible in the photo of the jacket? I offered her a voucher for 25% off of her next purchase to avoid any dissatisfaction, and she agreedI mailed the voucher to her the next day.The entire transaction with ***, was over and done, when her husband(***) called demanding a refundAs a resale shop, there are no refunds, and a sign posted in my shop reads, “No Refunds/ All Sales Final”? They had been in my shop, that is how they knew I had a good selection of the very desirable Levi's denim jacketsI sell items exclusively from my physical location, but had agreed to take a card over the phone and ship the item to [redacted] for a gift.Originally, I told [redacted] I did not do refunds, but would provide a $gift certificate for my shop to purchase another item, upon return of the jacketHe was not satisfiedSo, my ? final offer was to provide an additional $over the original price of the item, for which they had paid less with shipping; providing them with a $gift certificate for use in my storeI have done all I can do to accommodate this situation, and the customer has refused any efforts to address this matterI do not do refunds, as posted in my shop.Sincerely,Lynn H***, Owner/Operator, Garbo's Vintage Wear, established
