First, I have issue with the fact that it took so long for the business to respond (not within a reasonable timeframe) Second, it is clear that MrG*** did not directly address the issues I raised in my complaint He knowingly overcharged me $per hour as evidenced by the flyer his driver provided There is no start or end date listed for the special in the flyer When I spoke to MrG*** to request a copy of the invoice (x3), he said that it was too late and he would not give me the special advertised rate With regard to getting a copy of the original invoice when I asked at the time of the move, I have access to a copier at the location I moved The fact is, that was not the reason the driver gave me for not providing me a copy at the time of service It had to do with wanting payment in cash - and I believe, being able to doctor the invoice to explain the excess charges.I am disappointed MrG*** has these poor and unethical business practices It is clear that his goal was getting extra money, and not providing good and ethical customer service The requested remedy would make my experience with this business whole.Thank you,*** ** ***

To Whom It May Concern: Re: Complaint ID# [redacted]
On July, 25, 2015 G[redacted] Movers moved Mr. [redacted]. We have always charged a service fee, which covers gas for the trucks and the shrink wrap fee is separate due to the fact diat some people don't need it.
A few...

years ago we upped the price to §75.00 for 3 men and 1 truck. As for the flyers we had just printed them with special prices and clearly stated on them that you must have the flyer to get the special.
When Mr. [redacted] had asked for a receipt our driver stated that he would have to mailed it to him, due to the fact that the driver only has one copy of the paperwork on hand.  I had apologized to Mr. [redacted] for it taking a few days to get the receipt to him, as we were busy.If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at ([redacted].

Thank you, Jose J. G[redacted]

We booked a move with this company for 2 men and a truck. Later that day a man called and said they wanted to send 3 men. Since we were only moving a total of 25 items I said no we only needed 2 men. They agreed to the move. At 10 minutes after they were supposed to arrive they called and said they were on their way with 3 men. Needless to say I was upset, but said just get over here and get this done. They arrived with 3 men and said they were offended with how they were spoken to (poor babies). They then decided not to do the move and left. Good thing we had several days to complete the move because it was 2:30 in the afternoon of the appointed day. I think because it was the last day of the month they had me over a barrel. Thank goodness we did not use them. I would suggest no one else should even consider using them.

First, I have issue with the fact that it took so long for the business to respond (not within a reasonable timeframe).  Second, it is clear that Mr. G[redacted] did not directly address the issues I raised in my complaint.  He knowingly overcharged me $10.00 per hour as evidenced by the flyer his driver provided.  There is no start or end date listed for the special in the flyer.  When I spoke to Mr. G[redacted] to request a copy of the invoice (x3), he said that it was too late and he would not give me the special advertised rate.  With regard to getting a copy of the original invoice when I asked at the time of the move, I have access to a copier at the location I moved.  The fact is, that was not the reason the driver gave me for not providing me a copy at the time of service.  It had to do with wanting payment in cash - and I believe, being able to doctor the invoice to explain the excess charges.
I am disappointed Mr. G[redacted] has these poor and unethical business practices.  It is clear that his goal was getting extra money, and not providing good and ethical customer service.  The requested remedy would make my experience with this business whole.
Thank you,

Review: I had used [redacted] Movers to move my business office about 10 years ago, and had a good experience with them. I recently decided to move my business office again. On Friday, July 10, 2015 - I called [redacted] Movers and spoke with [redacted]. I told him I had used his service before, and he immediately stated that he would give me "the same deal" he did 10 years ago - 3 movers for $75.00 an hour with a 3 hour minimum (I trusted him, but I do not remember what he charged then - honestly). We booked the moved for July 25, 2015.

Mr. [redacted] called on July 24, 2015 to confirm that movers would come at 8:00 this next day. He repeated that there would be 3 movers for $75.00 an hour with a 3 hour minimum Then he added that there would be a "minimal gas surcharge." Naively, I thought it would be at most $20.00 or so. I also reminded Mr. [redacted] that I was disabled, and would be unable t assist in any lifting or moving. He said that "this is what you hired us for." Oddly again, he told me to be ready to pay in cash "because it was the weekend."

The next morning, the movers showed up at 8:45AM (scheduled for 8:00AM). At the beginning of the move, the driver informed me that there would be another $75.00 Service Charge to cover gas and "shrink wrap" for the breakables. I expressed my surprise, at which point the driver told me that we would not need the whole roll of wrap - and would probably only need to charge me for 1/2 of it. At the end of the move, they charged me for the 3 hours at $75.00, a "Service Charge" of $75.00, and an additional $30.00 for the whole shrink wrap roll (I was not able to see if the whole roll was used). I was in a great deal of pain, and in no position to argue the additional charge. THEN - when I asked for a receipt from the driver, he told me it would "have to be mailed to me." I found that to be a very odd and suspicious business practice. I also found it odd that I was not allowed to pay with check or credit card - "be ready to pay in cash -- because it is the weekend."

To add insult to injury, I was given some [redacted] Movers flyers by the driver at the end of the move. On the flyer, it shows that they charge $65.00 per hour for 3 men and one truck. NO MENTION of a "gas" or "Service" Charge. When I called [redacted] at the office on Monday, I asked about the price on the flyers. Mr. [redacted] responded that this was a "special" they were running (the flyer does not state that it is a "special" nor does it include a "start or end date."), and that because I made the reservation 2 weeks ago - I was not entitled to that rate GREAT customer service! When I asked about the extra "Service Charge", he stated that this is how they've "always done business."

When I asked about a receipt for what I paid for my accountant, he said he would "put it in the mail" - and that he did not think it was odd that a receipt was not provided at the time of service "we do it this way all the time". After being a pest for a few days, I was finally able to get him to fax me a copy of the receipt. Given the way he was acting and treated me, I honestly do not believe he was going to provide me a copy of the receipt. Evidenced by the fact that he hadn't put it in the mail when I finally got him to fax it to me for my accountant.

I WILL NEVER use [redacted] Movers again. I recommend that others beware of their business practices.Desired Settlement: I believe [redacted] Movers should stand behind what they advertise as a Revdex.com member. I want the per house fee reduced to $65.00 per hour as advertised on their flyer (a refund of $30.00), and a refund of the "Shrink Wrap" fee of $30.00 because I was told that the $75.00 "Service Fee" included the "gas surcharge and supplies" by the driver at the beginning of the move. I believe I am entitled to a refund of $60.00 based on their advertisement and what was verbally agreed to.

To Whom It May Concern: Re: Complaint ID# [redacted]

Review: I spoke with the owner of the company (since he spoke English the best - he was put on the phone) concerning a referred customer rate that was less expensive than mine. He says it was not. However, since my only around 10 miles or less - he said he would reduce the cost of the service fee of $65 to $35. I accepted. His son did not honor that on the move date and told me that his Dad was out of town and could not reach him. He would not leave until I paid him.

The son said he would call me that Monday (6/16) and let me know if his Dad was going to honor his agreement. He did not call. I called to let them know that I was not happy with no response and also let them know that they damaged the door frame form the garage to the house and na artificial tree planter. There are 2 chunks (small pieces of the wood removed) on the door frame. The planter for the artificial tree was broken - a piece of the pot broke off and they hid the piece inside the planter under some moss. I am extremely disappointed in their lack of professionalism and their dishonesty.

Also I requested a copy of the receipt for the 'cash only' payment they required. They would not give me one.Desired Settlement: I want the price that the owner quoted to me - which required a $30 refund.

I want them to pay for the contractor to fix the door frame $50

I want them to pay for the planter that they broke $250

Fast, professional, and extra special care with all items moved. Never stopped once to take a break; the two movers were like a well-oiled machine or quick-moving assembly line. The movers applied plastic wrap on each and every piece of furntiure, even through some of my belonging have seen better days. All furniture had pads placed on them as well as on the dolly being placed upon. When the movers arrived at my new place they worked just as effieciently and quietly. They also removed all the plastice wrap that they had put on; they put boxes into their designated rooms, which was an unexcepted pleasure since other movers I have used in the past just plopped my boxes down where ever. I am so pleased and happy with their service that they made my transition into my new place smooth and stress-free. I not only highly recommend them, I would luagh if any other company is used for your next move. 10 out ot 10!!!!! Need I say more? Thank you, Garcia Movers! You are the example of excellence in moving companies.

Three guys, one van and unbelievable service.

Went completely out of their way to help beyond what was called upon for moving. Took great care of our stuff and were efficient and fast. Would highly recommend them. They've moved us twice and other family members over the years and we've always been pleased.
