Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2016/03/31) */
There was a lot of miscommunication for timing and the weather did not help when the work was scheduled to be doneWe painted the Windows two times because our customer was not satisfied with one coat- we had originally quoted one coat and did
not charge her extra for the second coatWe are scheduled to finish repainting these windows next week and ready to call it a day! :)

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2016/03/31) */
We apologize for the inconvenience. At the beginning we did send a group to do the job and it was not to the customers satisfaction. We sent another group to correct it and our customer said the guys were doing a great job the whole time they...

were there. We did break a window pane and had it replaced. The customer then had broken 2 himself and said he was going to take care of it. He only ended up paying $200 for the job. Not nearly close to the amount for the agreed price even though he had already gotten an additional discount from the beginning. There is nothing more we can do for him.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2016/04/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The only one that ever said they were doing a great job was a Garcia painter. I showed the supervisor (Ricky) and the big guy all the things that needed fixing and the big guy said mark them down so they could fix them the next day. I showed them the unwanted painted places inside the windows. The supervisor cleaned paint off one set of metal interior blinds but none of the others. The supervisor kept asking for partial payment so I paid him $200 thinking they would be back to finish up. No one ever came back to do any painting after this payment.
With the glass being broke, the young boy ran the sander over the glass. The sander left deep scratches in two panes of glass and breaking one more. The big guy said they had no intentions of replacing the glass after I noticed someone had tried to cover up the scratches with an unknown chemical as if I did not see it before. Not until I mentioned the scratches being created by the sander did he agree to replace the glass. They removed the broken glass and covered the hole (big enough for someone to crawl through) with plastic and said they would be back when they can. I called the office manager (Gabby) asking her how am I supposed to leave my house or sleep at night with only plastic covering this large hole. She called the supervisor and he returned with a piece of glass. It was installed but incorrectly seated in the frame with very little and uneven glazing. At a later point I had to correct this because water was coming in.
The supervisor returned the next Saturday with his uncle to replace the other two panes of glass. The panes of glass he brought were very thin, unevenly cut, and had very jagged sharp edges. His Uncle was rapidly cutting out the old glazing of the window frame. When I realized he was actually cutting out slices of wood from the frame, I asked if they were in a hurry and pointed out the slices of wood being cut out. The uncle slowed down a bit but still inept in what he was doing. He installed the first pane using the new clips I provided and no glazing. The inside frame was no longer straight because of him. The uncle was now trying to force the 2nd glass pane into the frame but the glass would not fit because it was not cut to correct size for the window frame. He started cutting out the wood frame again. I told him to stop. I tried to hold the glass up as he pushed up on it (to slide it into place) and the glass broke. At this point I am perturbed at the damage they keep causing so I told the supervisor I would buy the glass on the next business day to make sure it was the right thickness and cut to correct size. Garcia Painters never came back or called until 10 days later saying the job was done to their satisfaction and they wanted payment.
Garcia Painters did not do the job they said they would do. They took my deposit, wasted 3 gallons of expensive paint I purchased, poured out old paint in my back yard in two places thinking I would not see it, damaged and broke glass, sanded cupping grooves into my wooden windows, left the white paint that turned yellow, left windows half primer and half painted, left the soffits unpainted in places, painted my weather stripping so it does not expand anymore, got paint on my interior blinds and interior window frame, left debris (paint chips, spilled glazing, old glazing) on the ground below the windows, and dirt stuck in the glazing where they dropped the glazing gun. All this and they continue to claim they did a great job. How can someone think this??? I want my money back plus what it is costing me for clean up and repair of the mess they left.
