Revdex.com 7007 Jefferson Street NE Ste A Albuquerque, NM 87109 RE: [redacted] March 22, 2016 To whom it may concern, On Thursday March 16th, 2016 we received a letter in the mail in regards to a complaint received by your office from Mr. [redacted]. The complaint from Mr. [redacted]...

states that the tires he purchased from us on January 27th, 2015 are the cause of recent transmission failure on his 2011 Subaru Forester. On or about February 22, 2016 Mr. [redacted] came in to Garcia tire Airport Rd location and notified us that he was experiencing transmission issues on his Subaru Forester. He went in to detail stating that his vehicle was currently at Precision Transmission and they told him the transmission failure was due to the tires having "2 to 2 1/2" roll-out from right to left". During that conversation I looked up the history in our Point of Sale system and verified that Mr. [redacted] did in fact purchase a set of tires on January 27, 2015. I also noticed that we have not had this vehicle back in our store for any regular maintenance since the tire installation. The proper protocol for replacing tires on any all wheel drive vehicle is that all four tires must be replaced at the same time with the recommended tire size of the vehicle. This rule is to my knowledge not brand specific. Our records show that we followed the recommendation by the manufacture. Mr. [redacted] was aware of this rule and therefore requested 4 matching tires. Later on in the Day I visited Precision transmission to see for myself what the issue was with the tires. Mr. [redacted] had already picked up his vehicle. I talked to Leonard and he basically gave the same explanation as stated on their work order. The tires we sold Mr. [redacted] are a private label tire sold under the trademark name Multi-mile. The name of the tire is Matrix all-season, and is manufactured by Cooper Tire and Rubber Company for TBC Corporation. The division is TBC Private Brands. This tire is not a Cooper brand name tire. I further explained to the customer that we would communicate with the distributor in regards to his complaint. On March 18th, an offer was made to Mr. [redacted] to remove the tires and replace with a name brand Goodyear tire. Mr. [redacted] has agreed to pay the difference in price, and is receiving full refund for the original tires purchased in January of 2015. We will then send the tires back to the manufacture for evaluation. It will be their responsibility to evaluate and determine if in fact the tires are the cause of Mr. [redacted] transmission problems. Respectfully, Lee G[redacted] Manager Garcia Tire Santa Fe
