I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The key points of our complaint are: 1) As a commercial car dealer, [redacted] and Garcia's Bus Sales should know the registration status of a car they are selling as it should be on the car's paperwork/documents when they bought it and in their inventory records. The lady at the DMV who helped us in registering the car told us that they ([redacted] and Garcia's Bus Sales) should have known this fact. So just because the license plate is missing the registration year sticker is no excuse for him to say he didn't know. I would even go to say that that sticker was removed to hide the fact that this car had not been registered in years and that would mean that the buyer would be incurring those registration back fees due to this. 2) When I asked [redacted] about the car's registration, his exact words were "the registration JUST expired in December 2016." Since he knew of the car's registration problem, this is a blatant lie and a breach of ethical standards. Both my Mom and I bear witness to [redacted] saying this. When he said this, he and my Mom were standing beside the car while I was sitting inside the car in the driver's seat. I understand that it's his word against ours as it was only us three around when he said this. 3) I asked [redacted] twice on how much much would the registration cost be - once on the phone when I first called and the second time when we were at his car lot while looking at the car. I was not expecting a specific number nor to hold him to a specific number but to get an idea of dollar range amount. He said that "it should be around $200, maybe $250." Since he knew of the car's registration problem this is another part of the deceit regarding the problem. If he was honest, he should have mentioned that the car not not been registered since 2014 and we would have to pay several years of additional back fees when we went to the DMV to register the car. I don't know if you know how it feels to be lied to and to end up with a financial burden because of that lie but that's how my Mom and I feel about this. In response to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint when mr [redacted] asked for registration price I told him I could not give him in exact number  there was no way I could have told him the tags expired in december 2016 reason being there was no sticker in the vehicle  i have attached a buyers guide...

signed by [redacted] (mother) where it states the vehicle is sold as is and that registration services where offered and where declined by the customer. We asked mr [redacted] if he wanted us to go to the registration broker and find out the fees and he declined he stated that his mother had AAA insurance and that it would be cheaper for them. there was no written promise or any sort of contract where I stated registration would cost 200-250. Mr. [redacted] asked me if I could give him just a number for registration fees for which I declined and told him " I am not the DMV I cant give you exact numbers" . Also regarding the $640 on parts that mr [redacted] states he spent on the vehicle he took the vehicle to a mechanic of his choosing at his expense and the mechanic advised mr [redacted] not to purchase the vehicle and mr [redacted] disregarded that advise and proceded in buying the vehicle. the window regulators where not working on the vehicle and mr [redacted] advised me of that issue for which I told him if he buys the regulators we would put them on at no charge for which around 4 days later he returned and we put on the regulators at no charge any questions or concerns please feel free to call me at 619-671-7018
