They were to install flooring in living room and kitchenThey took out carpeting in living room and at the last moment decided not to take out linoleum in kitchenI was reimbursed $The man who did the flooring did a good job but where the flooring goes over the linoleum there is a vacuum although they said they spliced the linoleum The salesman did not give me a reason for not removing linoleumWhen the workman came out he said nothing could be doneThe salesman Rick said nothing could be done along with the manager, [redacted] I asked the salesman and the manager then for a reimbursement of part of cost as the vacuum would be a permanent, annoying flaw in an otherwise good jobBoth said "That's not going to happen"A complaint on the local business website was withdrawn at some point

Horrible customer serviceI Had an appointment to get gas turned on at a property between 12:00pm and 2:pm, I was at the property during this entire time frameAround 2:pm, since no one had showed from the has company I began getting concerned about where they were so I called themThey told me that they had called me twice, and left two messages, I explained that I did not received a call or message and could provide documentation of my call logs showing that I had received no phone called from anyone today, they proceed to fight with me and tell me I was wrong, and that they called, but they didn'tI even asked if they mistakenly called the wrong number, they said that was impossible, they called me They stated that the gas company went to the home and left because no one was there, which they didn't show because I was sitting outside the entire time, plus anytime I have had them turn on gas service at another property and I have miss them they leave a note, weird how this is the only time they did not leave a noteThey Are sending them out again today between two and eleven at night....with no guarantee that they will make itSo if you want a utility company who is going to not show up to establish utilities, provide horrible customer service, fight with you when they don't do their job, and not claim responsibility for their own errors, move anywhere where Columbia Gas services! Or honestly use the cheaper third party, maybe their nicer

If I could give negative stars I wouldI hate this stupid company! When we were purchasing this house, we called a week before closing to have the utility moved from the previous owners' name into our nameAs the house was never unoccupied it was supposed to simply be a transfer of serviceThese is turned off the gas on the previous owners and we had to pay a new reconnect fee and wait to have it connectedWe were told someone had to be home and available from 8:am to midnight - yes, that was our "window"-hours! What person moving from out of state and starting a new job has the ability to take time off from work as soon as they start?? That was the first problem The current issue is billing related From Sep through Dec they received all of my payments (I use e-bill through my bank) on time every timeStarting in January 2018, THEY lost my payments I saw in my bank account that the check to the gas company was sent, the money was on hold waiting for the gas company to present it for paymentFebruary bill arrives - with a late charge and now asking for Jan and Feb ($392) requestedI send them $check (again via the bank), figuring they will find the $check and then I'll be paid ahead for MarchLiterally days after I sent the $I get a Turn Off Notice phone call while I am out of town I spent HOURS on the phone with multiple reps and managers, as well as multiple calls to my bank I send them another $over the phone - so now I have $tied up in my bank account with this companyThe bank said that if the checks were presented within hrs, they would still process as the stop payment that the BANK put on the checks would take that long to process FineI inform one of the managers at the gas company that the bank would be stopping payment on the checks Columbia Gas lost and was told that they would put a note in the account so I won't get hit with bounced check fees, etcIn March they tried to cash my Feb $check and now today - May - I get a notice that they tried to cash my $check from January and now I have a Past Due notice from them because the check was rejected by the bankI called Columbia Gas to ask what exactly are they trying to pull and to ask for the name of the person in charge of the Billing DepartmentThis woman (manager - as I don't waste my time bawling out the phone operators that can't do anything anyway) says "there is no one is charge of billing, M'am." WHAT?!?!? How can NO ONE be in charge of the entire billing department? The state and/or federal legislators need to do some serious revamping of the laws so that SOMEONE is held accountable for these incompetent nincompoops!

Columbia gas has been making threats over the phone to shutoff my service if I didnt pay their billThey better just stop the nonsense!

Columbia Gas of Pa is my natural gas supplier and I am set up thru Direct e-Bill- Bill ready notification for auto withdraw from my bank account to pay monthly bill
A Direct e-Bill- Bill ready notification email is sent to me monthly with a due date but the money is withdrawn up to days prior to the date indicated in the email notificationSeems illegal and deceptive to me
So example this month the Direct e-Bill- Bill ready notification email said the Due date: was 05/23/but the money was withdrawn 05/11/

I was notified the gas main would be replaced in front of of my houses - *** *** ** *** ** *** *** *** ** *** **i called the number on the tag that was left and inquired about re-connect placement and told him I do not want the meter in front of my house at *** *** like I was forced to do years ago and was told not a problem they would be putting it on the side of the housenext thing I knew they reconnected the existing linei met with the boss of the install crew and got nowherelater I was given a choice of where to install the meter for prospect and choose the right side of the housenext day when they wanted to install couldnt due to stair case in the house which made sensei was told they couldnt move it to the back corner had to be the left sidei asked about installing by porch in the front corner on the right side and told it cant be done so install happened where the crew wanted iti inquired several times and meeting with several bosses

Customer Called Carpet One, twice trying to reach StephanieNo response, the onsite installer received a call by *** at the customers homeWhen installer answered, he clicked on speaker and *** said " what does that crazy old lady want"At that time the installer ***, repeatedly apologized for what the customer heardThe rudeness, the dis-respectfulness of the managers attitude
A new worker named *** from Carpet One came to the home along with Service Master Co.The company that hired Carpet OneThey identified what the problem was which was incorrect installation of the tile be Carpet One
*** from carpet One said they will fix that problem by sending a different tile installerThat installer came out and completed the job correctl

I just bought a new home today and called in to Columbia gasI had to put a security deposit downI used my debit card and the lady told me it would not go throughSo then I said Ill just use my credit card and that went throughI checked later that day and both my debit card and credit card was used and went throughI do not understand how that happened when the lady told me that it was declinedFor such a big company to mess up on such a simple taskI am not a happy customer already on day one

I recently sold my houseI contacted the water, electric, and gas utility companies and arranged a date for all of them to shut off serviceWater and electric were both able to access to access the property to get final meter readings and shut off servicesColumbia gas of pa claimed the access code given was incorrectThe fact that two other utilities companies were able to get in shows that either columbia gas either didnt enter the code correctly or simply didn't show upThe new owner has changed locks to the household and so columbia gas is unable to access the houseColumbia gas refuses to shut off my service or account without access to the buildingI am receiving the new owners billI've asked why can't they disconnect the service from the curb, but again columbia gas refuses to shut off thr serviceThey are leaving no options other than to continue to pay the new owners bill

I have been trying to speak with a Supervisor because, it is over a month, that I have had a Certified Plumber install the line from my home, and Columbia Gas connected to it, then on my Weds, December 7, I spoke with a Supervisor and a Customer Service Repfrom the New Business Department where I was verbally assured that the meter would be installed on Thursday, December 8, and I would not have to be at the house, Columbia Gas has everything they needed Now Friday, December 9, I get a voice message from Columbia Gas that they are not installing the meter because there is no paper work at the house
I have called several times to the New Business Department and requested to speak to a Supervisor because this is unacceptable, my pipes are going to freeze and I cannot bring my year old mother home from the hospital from suffering a stroke because I have no heat, yet, Columbia Gas is ignoring my calls, and not doing their job, in addition, I do not want Columbia Gas

Columbia gas suffers from the same problem most utility providers suffer from, they have little to no competition in their service areasAs a result of this they have no one reason to change their process and try to improve their serviceI've lived in multiple rental homes and have always had trouble setting up service, having line maintenance and dealing with their "customer service."

There is a fraudulent company called ESP SERVICE PLAN that claims to be insurance for gas line protection About years ago we had a problem and they do not help We cancelled with them, filed a complaint and they Columbia Gas took off our bill for a year It has magically appeared on the bill again My year old mom is on the account and she and I have both directed Columbia gas to stop charging us for this "optional service" and they refuse They told us to call ESP whose number is just BUSY, probably because they've just scammed everyone this month Columbia Gas needs to be responsible for allowing this to happen without our consent Turns out my mom just talked to the ESP sales person and he said he didn't cancel because he didn't have a POA from me.....why didn't they call me back? MY MOTHER WERE BOTH ON THAT FIRST PHONE CALL A YEAR AGO They know they're scamming people and don't care

I called in to start service to a home that i'm doing a rent to own on, they told me that the gas has been shut off at the curb and that I would have to pay for someone to come out and reconnect it, I should not have to do this, I never had of service being shut off from the curb, off the house yes but not disconnected from the curb, I was told to have the home owner call inwell I am the new home owner due to renting to ownI have talked to a few people and they never heard of someone shutting the gas off at the curb, they pull the meter off the home and not off the road I am going to need gas service asap as i'm moving in soon

Terrible service! Technitions lie about coming to address not knowing your waiting on the porch! Do nothing about customer inconvienecs or concerns

They keep billing me long after I moved out I called tonight and they claim I never called to disconnect I 100% stake-my-life absolutely-no-question did I am not going to pay for someone else's gas usage Both of the reps I spoke with were jerks They just kept repeating that they had no record of my call to disconnect and had no interest in resolving anythingThey focused on their apparent crappy technology or record-keeping instead of trying to address the issueat handI can prove I haven't lived there since the end of SeptemberI told them to bill the property management company for the time when no one lived there, but they were like a broken recordThankfully I don't have to deal with this putrid company at my new location

They do decent work, but it absolutely infuriates me when they are just walking around on my property like they own the place and never knock on my door to tell me they will be on my propertyCommon courtesy seems not to be in their repertoire

This company and I agreed to forward my balance of $into my new account and the balance was paid offThey advice it was sent to collection months after we agree to forward the balance to my new address and they didHowever they also put it in my creditI want and request that charge be removed of my credit report as that balance is satasfied and when I called columbi gas(which calls are recorded) they advice me balance at $there for I want the balance dismiss off my credit fileI owe nothing to this business and I’m in current status with them
